Summer St. Vacation Home is in the center of the town ,2 minutes to I-91 & 93, all walking distance to academy, museum, art center, movie theater, restaurants and shops. Close to supermarket and hospital. Franconia Notch, Cannon Mt, hiking and swimming a mere 20 minutes away, 20 minutes to Burke Mountain, 30 Minutes to Lake Willoughby for hiking and water sports, one hour or bit more to Jay, Stove, and Smuggler's Notch for skiing, biking, hiking in green and writes. The space Summer street house is a large Victorian for which the entire first floor is your holiday or work home. A hall way and walk-in closet leads to a living room, spacious and elegant dining room, modern, large, well furnished kitchen perfect for the gourmet cook, baking; bathroom and laundry room (washer/dryer). The master bedroom (queen -size bed) is off the sitting room, separated by period sliding doors. The house is furnished throughout by a fascinating mix of Chinese antiques and art deco furniture In the rear of the kitchen is a separate, quite (semi) private apartment featuring a study (with a sofa bed), bedroom with a double bed, bathroom and a Jacuzzi room. This arrangement of the floor into two sections, virtually semi-independent is perfect for a second couple desiring privacy, equally perfect for teens, less so for young children and infants. Guest access Parking is available for one large or two small cars ( one after the other), right in front of the house The lot is plowed regularly when it snows. Except for late Fall into Winter, additional curbside street parking is permitted. As you are centrally located, the main part of town (restaurants, small shops, arts center) and especially the Academy are short walks. supermarkets, the mall, the hospital and clinics are but a five-minute drive. St Johnsbury is at the intersection of Interstates 91 and 93. Continuing N on 91 leads to Burke and Jay Peak; 93 takes you through Franconia Notch to the White Mountains. Other things to note The entire house is smoke and pet free without exception; please only book if these limitations are satisfactory. We encourage long-term stays by offering monthly and seasonal discounts to the daily rate. Please inquire if interested. St Johnsbury is one of the few nearby towns with a fine hospital and excellent emergency services if required. Although not accessible for the disabled, the only steps are the few leading up to the porch level; everything else is on the first floor with no stairs.
