At the foot of the Kalhyttan, just behind the treetops lies vacation villa Värmland. With Lake Färnsjön just a stone's throw away, the location of this luxury vacation home is fairytale-like. Not surprisingly, this very house is for many people the ultimate vacation destination for hiking, biking, boating and completely unwind in the beautiful Swedish nature. Are you ready for a Scandinavian vacation as it is meant to be? Close your eyes, take a deep breath and enjoy. Your vacation has begun! The space Typical Swedish Vacation home Värmland is a spacious, luxuriously furnished villa in typical Swedish style. And that is immediately noticeable upon arrival. Indeed, like many Swedish houses, Villa Värmland is a real wooden house. The fresh, green color gives the house a unique character and ensures that the vacation villa fits seamlessly into the beautiful surroundings. Once inside, you understand even better why building with wood is so popular in Sweden. Not only is it sustainable and better for a healthy living environment, but above all it looks very cozy. The villa is spacious for 13 people with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, several spacious sitting areas and a large open kitchen, but thanks to the wooden walls and beams it still feels very cozy and attractive. Interior The interior is modern and fully equipped. On the first floor you will find a wonderfully spacious sitting area with wood-burning stove where you can cozy up with the whole family or group of friends. The large open kitchen is perfect if you like to dine for a long time. There is a long scaffolding wooden table with room for everyone and in the kitchen itself you will find all the equipment you need for a real star meal: a 5-burner induction hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer and a gourmet set for 12 people. On the first floor there are also 2 bedrooms: 1x adult bedroom with double bed and 1x children's bedroom with triple bunk beds. In addition to the fixed bedrooms, there is also a separate television room with sofa bed, making it possible to create 2 additional sleeping places if necessary. The bathroom on the first floor is equipped with a toilet, luxurious whirlpool tub, shower stall and double sink. The upper floor is also spacious and generous and has everything you need to completely unwind. This floor consists of 2 spacious bedrooms, each with a different color theme. The yellow bedroom is a luxurious double bedroom with a dormer window from which you overlook the vast lake. The blue bedroom has 4 beds, including 1 double bed. Furthermore, on this floor you will find a small play corner, a separate toilet and a luxurious bathroom with bathtub, double shower and also two sinks. There is good wifi throughout the house and the television has Dutch, German and English channels. Stuga Next to the vacation villa is also a cozy 'Stuga' built in the same style as Villa Värmland. This type of house is known in Sweden as a (family) house that traditionally consists of one room. For the optimal vacation experience we have transformed the Stuga especially for our guests into a wellness area with beautiful views of the lake. Here you will find a wonderful sauna, relaxing sitting area and a shower. There is also a washing machine and dryer in the Stuga through another door. Around the house In addition to privacy, the large gelding around the house offers plenty of opportunities for play and relaxation for all ages. Do you feel like being active or doing something fun with the kids? Feel free to take our own boat "Piraatje" and go out on the lake! Or have fun on your own playground with trampoline, swings, play towers and a soccer field. It's all here. Prefer to find some relaxation? Enjoy good conversations on our terrace in wonderfully spacious sofas overlooking the lake. The location of the terrace allows you to enjoy the sunlight all day on sunny days. The experience is complete with the fully equipped gas BBQ that is free for all our guests to use. The Area Although there is plenty to do around the house, we recommend that everyone explore the surrounding area as well. With its endless forests, babbling brooks and unprecedented tranquility, nature is truly magnificent. And do not be surprised if during a walk you encounter a deer, fox or even a moose! For the truly adventurous we heartily recommend the multisport arena Kalhyttan. It is located almost behind the house and offers activities for everyone. Go skiing or cross-country skiing in winter or live it up in summer with disc golf, roller skiing and beautiful mountain biking and cycling trails. The possibilities at Kalhyttan are varied and challenging for every level! Are you more of a fan of culture? Then it's definitely fun to visit the Wasa Knäckebröd museum in Filipstad. This is where the world-famous Swedish crackers are produced to this day. The museum is not large, but admission is free and therefore definitely worth a short visit. It is also fun to take a trip to the larger cities nearby such as Karlstad (60 km) and Kristinehamn (55 km). Thinking about a vacation in Sweden? Then look no further. Welcome to Villa Värmland! Other things to note We have invested in an environment friendly way of heating the house and the water, including the placement of solar panels and a heat pump. Water and electricity are included in the rental price. You can rent the bedlinen and a towel-set for bathroom for €15,- pppw. The kitchen towels are included when you rent Bedlinen and towels. The kitchen is including coffee, thee, sugar, salt, pepper, kitchen paper, baking paper, aluminum foil, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing detergent and candles. Toilet paper will also be in the house when you arrive. We have chosen for a mandatory cleaning to offer everybody a clean house during arriving, therefore we ask € 75,- 4G Wifi is available in the house, but it is limited. 40 GB per week is included. (When exceeded, we have to charge the extra amount) Having pets in the house has to be discussed beforehand. Dogs are allowed, but they have to sleep downstairs and are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. There is a surcharge of €25,- for cleaning when pets are being held. After we checked the house, on the next day the deposit will be sent back to the account it came from. Times of arrival are in consideration with us.
