The large fully equipped kitchen offers a fridge for guests' exclusive use, a gas cooking hob, an electric oven, and a dishwasher. There is an outdoor braai (barbecue) area. Two of the bedrooms are on the first floor and accessible by stairs, The third bedroom is on the ground floor. There is one step up to the kitchen, dining room and lounges from this bedroom area and entrance hall. There is a small back-up battery power system to allow limited lights during power cuts. Guests are asked to use lights sparingly during power cuts, and switch off all unused lights. Leaving lights on will drain the batteries and cause damage to the inverter. The battery backup provides power to the wifi and burglar alarm as well, so there is wifi during power cuts. There are movement sensor solar powered battery lights outside which provide security lighting outside even during load shedding (dependent on being adequately charged by the sun). There is a workspace (desk, 21 inch monitor, keyboard and mouse) in the guest lounge, should a guest require a workspace. Note : This equipment is unfortunately not powered during power cuts. The monitor connects to an HDMI port and the keyboard & mouse has USB A connections. Guests who want to use this equipment must bring their own adaptors and splitters.
