Place of Peace

Our vacation apartment is located in the Old Town Hall, an historic building. Thick walls provide naturally cool temperatures in the summer and warmth during winter. A large lawn and terrace behind the building and two private parking lots in front of the building are at our guests' disposal. Our cozy apartment is situated in a quiet area just at the edge of the city of Aachen. Holiday destinations such as the Eifel, the Ardennes or the Rhine valleys are nearby. The space The building of the Old Town Hall is several hundred years old, however the entire interior living space has been completely renovated and modernized a few years ago. All fixtures and appliances necessary for a comfortable stay are available to our guests. The spacios dining room which also incorporates the kitchen provides a cozy yet special feel with its traditional floor tiles, historic furniture and decoration. The brightly lit living room invites avid book readers or TV watchers to stay. It is from here that our guests have their own direct acces to a lavish lawn and garden which incorporates a terrace. Guests can sun bathe and enjoy cool drinks while marveling at a number of giant old trees and lush plantation and vegetation all around. From an elevated position on the property sensational views far into the distance and all across Aachen city can be experienced, as far as good weather allows for that. The peaceful interior of the flat makes for a relaxing stay indoors, should the weather be inclement. The freely provided WLAN connection, TV, books and cooking utensils are helpful tools to be used for your own enjoyment. Guest access Our guests have their own private entrance to their vacation apartment, located on the left long side of the building. All of the 92 square meters of the flat are at their disposal. At the back of the building there is a large lawn with a terrace, accessible through the door in the living room. This too is available to our guests. Other things to note In the historically eminent city of Aachen, founded by the emperor Charlemagne some 1200 years ago, ultural and sports events take place regularly. In the spring there is the joyous and colorful time of carnival, with long parades of bands, groups and floats. In the summer the ALRV (Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein, foundend by the great-grandfather of the host) hosts the world's largest and most prestigious show jumping event. This week-long sports show takes place in the Soers, some three kilometers away from the apartment. In the autumn numerous villages in the neigbourhood realize traditional events such as Thanksgiving parties, shooting competitions with historic weapons or shows featuring medieval life.
