The Pine Tree Trail Guesthouse

Escape to the beautiful Stockholm archipelago and stay at The Guesthouse at Pine Tree Trail — a private guesthouse surrounded by pines, little lakes, and the Baltic Sea. During December - enjoy Swedish julbord (Christmas buffet) at Stavnäs Krog nearby. Enjoy the sauna, cozy up by the fireplace or take the trail down to the sea. Take a ferry to the islands, enjoy hiking trails, cozy cafés or a glass of wine in the near by area. The space Life slows down here. A short eight-minute walk leads you to a quiet forest lake, perfect for swimming, and in just twelve minutes along a scenic trail you reach the sea and a small "bathing island." If you feel like exploring, two simple bicycles are available for hire, and lovely forest paths and coastal trails begin just outside the door. The house has all essential equipement for cooking, BBQ, relaxing and sleeping. There is also air conditioning for hot summer days. There are fluffy duvets and pillows - and sheets, duvet covers and towels available for an extra fee. During fall and winter - enjoy the fireplace and sauna after a Christmas market or buffet in the archipelago. The guesthouse is just a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, with regular buses bringing you to Stockholm's Slussen in about 50 minutes. Grocery shopping is easy with a supermarket by the bus stop. Parking for two cars is available directly outside the guesthouse, and you’ll have your own private entrance for maximum independence. Please note that there is no wifi — this is a place to truly reconnect with nature. Guests are expected to clean the guesthouse before leaving. Guest access You have access to the whole house during your stay except from a private sewing cupboard in the living room. The guesthouse is situated privately away from the main house where your hosts live. You will however see Elin working in the kitchen garden from time to time - watering, planting and harvesting. Ask for fresh herbs in summer - there is likely an abundance! Other things to note From Stavsnäs winter harbor, you can catch ferries to explore many of the islands in the Stockholm archipelago. In Stavsnäs village — a historic and protected cultural environment — you’ll find a charming café, a small harbor museum, and the chance to enjoy a glass of wine by the water. For those seeking more activities, there are kayaks and canoes available for rent nearby, plenty of hiking trails to discover, a mini golf course for some casual fun, and in Vindö you'll find the unique Vindö Bilgalleri — a car museum perfect for motor enthusiasts and families. In summer, small flea markets pop up around the area, and Djurönäset, a short drive away, hosts outdoor concerts and events. For a special dining experience, you can cycle to Motorverkstan, a popular restaurant right by the pier on Djurö, serving excellent food in a beautiful seaside setting.
