Dune Cottage, Low Hauxley.

Time to relax at this peaceful little hideout. Dune Cottage is a traditional fisherman’s cottage, located in the small hamlet of Low Hauxley, near Amble. Not directly facing the beach, but within a courtyard offering direct beach access, the cottage offers the ideal place for an escape from our busy lives. Close by is the nature reserve, or walk along the beautiful beach, past Coquet Island, to nearby Amble, offering an abundance of shops, restaurants, pubs, and a delightful ice cream parlour. The space Small but perfectly formed! Kitchen-fully electric appliances. Induction hob. Fridge with small freezer compartment. Built-in oven and microwave. Tassimo coffee machine. Under bench plinth heater. Small table and chairs. No dishwasher. Lounge-nice size room with sofa, chair and footstool, table and chairs to dine, log burner, chest of drawers with reading material, beach towels and blankets. Smart TV. Electric radiator. Shower room/WC-please note this room is downstairs and there is no upstairs WC or bathroom. Washing machine. Electric towel warmer. Double bedroom-with king size bed, desk/dressing table, clothes storage and Smart TV. Electric radiator. External-small fenced area directly in front of the property with seating. There is a shed opposite, containing a small bbq and table. The shed is also useful for storage of bikes, wetsuits, etc. PLEASE NOTE- the staircase is relatively steep and narrow. A handrail is provided on both sides. Care is advised or if you think you may struggle, best advice is to look for something more suitable. PETS are not allowed, however, the owners do visit with their dogs, thus anyone with allergies to dog hairs are advised not to book. Even though the cottage is cleaned extensively, we cannot guarantee anyone with an allergy would not have a problem. Guest access Entire house. (Small bedroom kept locked for owner storage). Other things to note Parking is available in the courtyard. We usually advise to park as close (opposite) to the property as reasonably possible. The two neighbouring properties each have their own designated parking area directly in front of their cottages, which is for their private use only. Please do not use these areas.
