Pebble Cottage, Boulmer Village

A charming beachside fisherman’s cottage and home from home, in a village that is a jewel of the Northumbrian coast. A place to enjoy incredible sea views whatever the weather, to nestle in front of a real fire or head straight down to the beach, which is literally on your doorstep. Located next to the popular ‘Fishing Boat Inn’. The ideal location for active family holidays, stunning seaside walks to Northumbria’s coastal castles, or its traditional pubs serving local sea food, or both. The space Pebble Cottage has been our family escape for over thirty years. It is comfortably and tastefully furnished as a home from home and place to relax. The artwork on the walls is by our father, who loved and painted Boulmer and the Northumbrian surroundings. There are three bedrooms, sleeping six. The ground floor has a spacious double bedroom, with views out to sea and an en-suite with shower. There is a further ground floor twin bedroom. Upstairs is another twin bedroom with a breakfast balcony, to enjoy stunning views along the coast. This floor also has a separate bathroom with rolltop bath. The light, airy and comfortable sitting room has a real open fire and views over the garden and countryside beyond. The kitchen-dining room is well-equipped and has amazing sea views through double French doors with direct access down to the beach. Outside is a patio to take in the views, or if you are very lucky the Northern Lights. At the rear of the cottage there is a long private garden with space to park several cars or to sit and enjoy the countryside views. Dog owners please be aware that, due to the undulating driveway, the roadside gate when closed still has gaps that small dogs could escape through. Until now we have let our cottage through a local letting agency and many guests continue to return, some have been coming for over fifteen years.
