Castle House of Morrona

The house is located in the medieval village of Morrona, at the highest point of the village with a stunning view. You can see wine and olive fields and many villages on the peaks of the district's rolling landscape. The house has been completely renovated and the saltwater pool, which is only for you, is brand new, completed Sep 2025. Wrought iron fences and gates ensure the safety of the pool area for small children. Children aged 13 and under are free, even if they use one of the 8 beds. This is refunded by the owner, see below The space We have a well-equipped kitchen inside, but also an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and pizza oven. We have an extra large table (space for 14) for dinners with friends on day visits (or who rent another of the many smaller rental apartments in Morrona) on the house's largest cool terrace to the east, but we also have a dining table inside and another outside in the evening sun on the other side of the house, with space for 8. In other words, the house will be perfect for many pleasant meals together. The swimming pool is exclusively for you. There is a saltwater pool, which opens on April 25, 2026 and closes on October 1. The pool is new and exclusive for you. It was completed in September 2025. It is located right next to the house and not far down in a garden as many pools often do in Tuscany. There we also have an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, and some sun beds and sun chairs. Wrought iron fences and gates, well adapted to the exterior of the house, ensure to keep small children away from the pool. Guests are asked to use the pool robot every night for a clean and beautiful pool. Easy to use. Instructions will be in the house. *Refund for children*: Airbnb does not have a pricing model where children are automatically given a discount. The only option is for the owner to refund this after the stay. The base price includes 4 people, e.g. 2 adults and 2 children, or 4 adults. Children in addition to this number, who are under 13 years of age and use one of the 8 beds, are calculated by AirBnB as paying, but are refunded by us after the stay. This means that e.g. 4 adults with 4 children only pay for 4 adults. Police throughout Italy require all guests to be registered within 24 hours. This must therefore be registered after booking. We will let you know what and how. NB ADDITIONAL TAX (not included in the AirBnB price): Terricciola municipality has introduced a tourist tax from 2025 to finance tourism-related initiatives, from April 1 to October 31, of €2.00 per person per night. It applies for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights and is exempt for children up to ten years. This will be collected upon arrival as cash. Guest access It must be said that the streets up to the house are narrow and the ground steep, so that only small cars can drive all the way up, but if you have it, 1 car can park at the house. If not, it's easy, always space and very safe to park in streets and parking lots in the village. Other things to note As mentioned, Morrona is surrounded by many nice picturesque villages in the surrounding area (Terricciola, Chianni, Lari, Lajatico, Peccioli, and others) and places with very good shopping offers (La Rosa, Capannoli, Ponsacco). But Morrona is also perfectly located in relation to excursions to the sea and beaches and Tuscany's many famous villages and towns, such as Volterra (35 min), Pisa (40 min), Lucca (60 min), Livorno (48 min), San Gimignano (53 min), Florence (1 hour), Siena (1.5 hours) La Spezia (1.5 hours, plus a short train ride from there to the villages of Cinque Terre).
