Carefully restored, over 500-year-old family stone house offers a peaceful getaway with beautiful views of the Vipava Valley vineyards. The house with three floors combines traditional architecture with modern comforts and can host 5 to 7 people. The space The house has three floors: Ground floor: Bedroom with two single beds (can be put together), original vintage furniture, bathroom and day-wc, First floor: Living area with a well equipped kitchen, dining area and balkony ("gank"); in front of the fireplace there is a sofa (with an extra pull-out bed) and a working corner, Gallery above the livingroom: double bed, single children's bed (180cm) and mini WC. A variety of games and toys for children are waiting in the old chest, cellar ("hram"): characteristic vaulted wine-cellar, currently under reconstruction. The house is our home away from home. An architect, a microbiologist, three children, a grandfather, a grandmother, relatives, neighbours and friends have spent seven years renovating her. She is a sensitive old lady, so not suitable for organized parties, but she will be very happy to host your respectful visit. If you are looking for a spot where history, peace and comfort intertwine and fancy an authentic Vipava Valley experience, you are most warmly welcome at "Pri Felkovih". Guest access The easiest way to get to the property is by your own car or bike. The village is a good 10 minutes from the highway H4, exit 1 - Vipava. The house can only be accessed by car via a narrow lane (with wider cars the last 50 m you may want to check on foot). The house does not have its own parking space (except for the smallest cars up to 3m long). At the beginning of the village (5 min walk) there are free public parking spaces. Entry into the house requires a code that is given to you prior to your arrival. The house has stairs and is unfortunately not suitable for people with impaired mobility. Other things to note Best months to visit are March till November when the weather is fair and mild, Mediterranean style. In the winter, though still mostly pleasant, the area experiences occasional strong bora winds. The house is located in a quiet, central part of the village next to the church; in the morning you may be woken up by the first bell at 5 am. Earplugs are provided in a tin box for your convenience. Otherwise, this part of the village is very quiet - summer evenings are accompanied only by the singing of crickets.
