Pubs and cafés are within easy (even staggering) distance, with canal, river, and countryside walks from the door. An ideal base for relaxing breaks year round. Close to Pendle Hill and the Forest of Bowland for outstanding walks and panoramic views. The space Located on a quiet unadopted lane, this recently renovated cottage offers a calm and comfortable base in the heart of Barrowford. Step into a small entrance hallway leading to a bright open‑plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a woodburner - perfect for relaxing evenings. The cottage has two bedrooms: one king and one double, each designed for a restful stay. The modern shower room is clean and practical. Outside, enjoy the private, enclosed rear yard with festoon lighting - an ideal spot for a morning coffee or a quiet drink in the evening. Guest access The whole property is available to you, apart from a small locked cupboard in the Master Bedroom, which is reserved for our cleaning staff. Other things to note Parking is available on the quiet unadopted lane directly outside the cottage, or directly opposite the cottage beside the old engine room doors of Higherford Mill. The lane is narrow and spaces aren’t allocated, but we’ve never struggled to find a spot close to the cottage. We’ll supply a few basics in the kitchen to get you started, including tea, coffee, sugar, salt, oil, dishwasher tablets, and washing up liquid. We'll also build a ready‑set fire in the woodburner, along with enough wood, kindling and firelighters for one night. If you need more during your stay, Clarks in the village has plenty.
