Tannengrün cottage - a place of tranquility in the middle of the forest

Reconnect with nature at this incomparable retreat. The cozy A-frame cabin Hütte Tannengrün is nestled in an idyllic forest clearing within the Waldoase Zimmersacher. Lovingly furnished, it accommodates up to 4 guests – making it ideal for nature lovers, families, and dog owners. Enjoy relaxing evenings at the cozy, shared barbecue area right on the grounds. Perfect for longevity activities, forest bathing, and a true "Reset your Mind" experience! The space Hidden in the western Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge), you will find the rustic Hütte Tannengrün. It is part of a small, historic ensemble of just six A-frame cabins lined up like a string of pearls along an idyllic forest path. A popular hiking trail passes right by your doorstep, allowing you to easily explore the most beautiful corners of the region on foot—from short strolls to extensive day tours. For cozy evenings under the open sky, a central, shared barbecue area is available to all guests of the Waldoase. The Interior Inside Hütte Tannengrün, a lovingly furnished accommodation awaits you, complete with a cozy living area, TV, a small kitchen, and running water. Sleeping Arrangement: Ground Floor: A separate bedroom with a comfortable double bed. Top Floor / Loft: Two additional small bedrooms are located in the loft. Important note: The loft is accessible via a traditionally rustic but very steep ladder (chicken ladder). 🌲 Surroundings & Day Trips Despite its idyllic forest location, Hütte Tannengrün is perfectly connected to fantastic local attractions: Blauenthal Waterfall: Saxony's highest waterfall is only about 800 meters away and can be reached via a beautiful short hike. Sosa Dam (Talsperre Sosa): A scenic 1-hour walk (approx. 5 km) brings you to this picturesque reservoir nestled deep in a forested valley. The 6 km loop trail offers magnificent views of the Ore Mountains panorama. Action & Family: Wurzelrudi’s Erlebniswelt with its summer toboggan run, the climbing park, or the local historic visitor mine are all quickly accessible and provide plenty of variety. Wellness & Relaxation: The famous Badegärten Eibenstock (spa and sauna gardens) are located close by—ideal for your personal longevity program. City Trips & Culture: If you are looking for historic old-town charm, Chemnitz can be reached in about 60 minutes, and Dresden in around 90 minutes. Winter Wonderland In winter, the Ore Mountains surrounding the cabins transform into a true snowy landscape. The local ski slopes are just a few kilometers away, offering perfect conditions for skiers and snowboarders. After an active day in the snow, enjoy the cozy warmth of your cabin and the crisp winter air of the forest. Cross-Border Experiences The proximity to the Czech border (just a few minutes' drive away) opens up great opportunities for day trips. Discover traditional Bohemian taverns and the stunning nature of the neighboring country. Other things to note the sleeping loft is accessible only via a steep ladder. You can conveniently stop at the bottom, right in front of the driveway, to unload your luggage. From there, it is a walk of approx. 50 meters uphill to Hütte Tannengrün. Once everything is unloaded, you safely park your car in our central parking lot (approx. 70 meters).
