Inside »The Green Chambers«, you will find: • Spacious rooftop terrace with ocean and jungle view • Surrounded by tropical jungle and diverse wildlife • Fully equipped kitchen with high-quality appliances (blender, milk frother, waffle iron, rice cooker, fridge/freezer, ...) • 2 A/C bedrooms (sleeps up to 4 guests comfortably) with large 2x2m wooden beds & traditional, natural coir mattresses • 2 bathrooms (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) with hot water and naturally designed open outdoor shower • Small balcony in each bedroom • Green architecture and a huge mango tree which the house was built around • Wooden standing desk in the living room & seated desks in each bedroom • High-Speed WiFi connection (100-200 Mbps) This is the perfect place for remote workers, families, and friend groups who value natural living, and appreciate experiencing breathtaking nature on a daily basis. »The Green Chambers« is a short 5-min walk from one of the most pristine beaches in Sri Lanka, where the sea is alive and palm trees never end. Sea turtles come to this shore to nest, and we are in regular contact with local wildlife authorities to take the right steps whenever needed. If you're lucky, you might witness nature in one of its most magical moments – quietly and respectfully. A quick 10-minute ride brings you to hip Hiriketiya – a vibrant hub with an active community, regular events, great cafés, and one of the best beginner surf spots in Sri Lanka. Sea turtles nest along this coastline during certain seasons. We stay in close contact with local conservation efforts to ensure their protection. If you’re fortunate, you may witness this quietly - always with respect for nature. Other than that, the surrounding area is full of hidden gems – natural swimming pools on rice fields, lakes, jungle paths, and open spaces perfect for running, exploring or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. Guest access Guests have full access to all the amenities! Other things to note You’ll be staying in the heart of Kaluketiya – an active and alive fishing village. Life here is real and present – sporadically, you might hear music, local chatter or other village sounds. It's part of the experience and charm of being immersed in authentic Sri Lankan life. The property shares its main entrance and parking lot with our family house next door, which is part of village life here – warm, open, and connected.
