Ballymenoch Cottage in Cardross

Ballymenoch Cottage is a semi-detached retreat, nestled along a quiet farm road near Cardross, just four miles from Helensburgh town centre. Surrounded by open fields and peaceful countryside, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind - yet, still close enough to enjoy the shops, restaurants, and attractions of the nearby towns. The space The kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and freezer. There is a washing machine too. The kitchen is open-plan to the cosy living room, which features a log burner, along with a dining area, sofa, chair, TV, and a selection of books and games for you to borrow. The bathroom is also found downstairs and has a modern finish. It has a WC, sink, bath and shower (separate from each other). Upstairs, the cottage has two bedrooms - one king and one double. Both of the bedrooms have a view of the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is a secure, fenced garden - perfect for your dog to play outdoors whilst you relax. We welcome well-behaved dogs, but please note that they must not be left unattended in the cottage and must remain downstairs. Please note: we don’t have a ‘usual’ central heating system. The property is heated using electric panels and a log burner. Logs are provided for your stay. The property is ideally located for exploring the stunning local countryside and scenic views, as well as for enjoying day trips to nearby cities. It is just a 10 minute drive to Helensburgh town centre and 20 minutes from the beautiful Loch Lomond. Glasgow is easily accessible - only 45 minutes away by car or local train - while Edinburgh can be reached in about 90 minutes by car, or 2 hours by local train, making both cities perfect for day trips. The train station is a 3 minute drive away and has free parking. Guest access You’ll have the whole semi-detached cottage to yourself, plus your own private garden to enjoy. There’s an outdoor table and chairs, perfect for eating outside or just relaxing in the fresh country air. The property includes one off-road parking space for guests. As the road is a single-track lane, there is unfortunately no on-road parking available. If you require an additional parking space for other guests staying at the property, please let me know as early as possible and I will do my best to assist. Other things to note Our licence permits a maximum of four people (this includes children of all ages). Unfortunately, our space isn’t suitable for infants under 2 years, due to safety and setup.
