The “19th Hole”, is a private apartment attached to the main house, Beech Hill. It is newly converted to a high standard and can accommodate two people. The “19th Hole” has its own entrance and off-road parking. Guests are welcome to make use of the shared garden and seating areas for outdoor dining or relaxing with a cocktail or a glass of wine! The village of Peat Inn is situated in North-East Fife close to St. Andrews and is home to “The Peat Inn” Michelin star restaurant. The space Golfers will know the “19th Hole” as a nickname for the clubhouse on a golf course where players meet and wind-down after a game of golf. Whether you are a golfer or not, the “19th Hole” in Peat Inn is the perfect place to stay and relax. Newly converted to a very high standard, “The 19th Hole” is bright, warm and cosy. It consists of an open plan lounge / kitchen area, bedroom with king-sized bed and modern spacious ensuite with electric shower. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, fridge, combination microwave and toaster. Guests also have use of their own washing machine / dryer which is situated in the shared utility room. Included is access to free Wi-Fi and smart TV, with Netflix and Now TV, Sky Sports and entertainment packages. Your first morning's continental breakfast is complimentary. Local Area The “19th Hole” is in the village of Peat Inn in North-East Fife close to St. Andrews. The village is home to the renowned “Peat Inn” Michelin star restaurant, using the best of local seasonal produce, it is known for exceptional dining. The restaurant is just one minute’s walk away! The university town of St Andrews is just a fifteen-minute drive from Peat Inn. The town offers visitors a wide range of independent boutique shops, as well as the more familiar high-street retailers. It provides food lovers with an extensive choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. Many promote locally sourced produce, including fresh caught seafood, meats, cheese, locally grown fruit and vegetables, even ice-cream! With shopping done, choose from several spectacular beaches that are within easy reach of the “19th Hole”. In particular the West Sands in St Andrews, two miles of sand and stunning views. Alternatively have a sauna at Kingsbarns or Elie beach, or walk the coastal path with its magnificent sea views. Then visit the traditional fishing villages of the East Neuk, Crail, Pittenweem, St Monans or Anstruther; famous for its “Wee Chippy”, and highly recommended. Golfers, you’ll be in the perfect location, just a short drive to your choice of championship golf courses! The most famous of these is The Old Course Links St Andrews; the home of golf and the oldest golf course in the world! Nearby, are Kingsbarns links, The Castle Course St Andrews, Balcomie and Craighead golf courses at nearby Crail. A little further afield is Carnoustie, about an hour’s drive. These courses regularly host international tournaments such as “The Open Championship” and “The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship”. Dundee is just 30 minutes away where you can visit the Victoria and Albert Museum or visit RRS Discovery which forms the central focus of Discovery Point visitor centre. Here you will hear about Captain Scot’s journey to the Antarctic and his fated expedition to be first to reach the South Pole. Guest access The"19th Hole" has its own entrance with key safe. Guests are welcome to make use of the shared garden and seating areas for outdoor dining or relaxing. There is off-road parking at the front of the main house which is for guests' exclusive use. Other things to note Things to note. Although the “19th Hole” is all on ground level, there are three steps on the path which accesses the accommodation, and one at the entrance. Please bear this in mind when booking. If travelling to the property by train, Cupar train station is 7 miles away. Edinburgh is accessible from Cupar by train, and takes about an hour to Waverley Station.
