Pet Friendly 2 bed detached house, Sherwood Forest
Pet Friendly 2 bed detached house, Sherwood Forest
Description
Welcome to number 18, a cosy detached home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Robin Hood Country. Perfect for couples, families, dog lovers & contractors, it’s an ideal base for woodland walks, cycling, or exploring Sherwood Forest & nearby gems like Thoresby, Welbeck & Rufford. With a homely feel, enclosed garden, boot room for muddy paws & space to relax or work remotely, it’s a welcoming base for visiting loved ones, weddings nearby, or holidays in Sherwood’s woodland charm. The space Welcome to number 18, my cosy detached home tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in Warsop. It’s a house that has always had a very homely feel, and I love being able to share it with couples, families, dog lovers & contractors visiting or working in the surrounding Sherwood Forest area. Downstairs you’ll come into the boot room – perfect for muddy boots and paws after a woodland walk. You’ll also find dog towels, bowls, blankets and a few little extras to make your four-legged friend feel just as welcome as you. The large wet room with its walk-in, step-free shower is one of my favourite features – light, spacious and easy for everyone to use. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you’ll need if you want to cook, as well as a pantry with a few basics, bird seed & binoculars if you’d like to watch the garden visitors. The living room is a cosy space to curl up at the end of the day, with an electric reclining sofa, books and games, and a real flame gas fire to make it extra snug. The dining table easily seats four and also works well as a desk if you need to work while you’re away. Upstairs there are two bedrooms: the front bedroom has a standard double bed, while the back bedroom has a small double. Both are peaceful rooms with a few touches of family history in the furniture that I couldn’t bear to part with. There’s also a bathroom with a bath and separate shower head attachment, plus a separate WC for convenience. A travel cot is stored under the bed for little ones. Outside is a small enclosed garden that catches the mid-morning to afternoon sun. It’s safe for dogs and children, with a hose for muddy boots, bikes and paws, garden furniture to sit out with a cup of tea, and even a socket if you’d like to work outdoors. The Wi-Fi reaches the garden too – tested many times on calls with family abroad! This house has been in my family for many years, and it’s always been a place to relax, laugh and make memories. I hope it feels the same for you – whether you’re here to explore Sherwood Forest, visit loved ones, celebrate at a nearby wedding, or just enjoy a quiet holiday together. Guest access You’ll have the whole house to yourself during your stay, including both bedrooms, the two bathrooms, the kitchen, living & dining areas, and the handy boot room for muddy shoes & paws. The enclosed garden is also all yours to enjoy – whether that’s relaxing with a morning coffee, letting the dog stretch its legs, or rinsing off bikes and boots after a day exploring Sherwood. Other things to note Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms: the front with a standard double bed and the back with a small double, both cosy and comfortable spaces rather than king-sized rooms. A travel cot is provided for little ones (please bring your own bedding for it). The house is dog friendly – towels, bowls & blankets are provided, and the garden is enclosed. Maximum of two dogs. The wet room is downstairs with step-free access, while upstairs you’ll find a bathroom with bath and separate shower head attachment, plus a separate WC for convenience. The garden catches the mid-morning to afternoon sun – perfect for a coffee outside. Wi-Fi reaches into the garden and there’s an outdoor socket if you’d like to work outdoors. The TV has a Roku stick and offers smart apps such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Amazon Video. You will need your own log in details for these apps. The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac, so you can expect a peaceful stay.
