This old barn has been transformed into a contemporary chalet. Our desire was to maintain the way of life of our ancestors. Every morning, you can light the wood stove to heat yourself and get your hot water. The space This former barn can accommodate up to five people as it has a double bedroom and a dormitory located above the living space. The base includes the master bedroom which extends onto a covered terrace overlooking the valley. The bathroom is lit by a slit cut into the ground to provide diffused light. The old barn includes the main living space consisting of a fitted kitchen, a dining table and a relaxation area. The living space also includes the wood-burning stove that heats the entire mayen in a spirit of yesteryear. Large openings on the sides offer views of the valley in a resolutely modern atmosphere, these openings are composed of a mixture of wood and concrete. In the living space there is a mezzanine that can either serve as a dormitory or a double bedroom as needed. This chalet is an extraordinary experience far from your daily life, spend a totally ecological stay using wood. Hot pots (for an extra charge): We provide 3 hot pots distributed among the 6 chalets. Use is not included in the price of the accommodation but is extra. The price is based on the length of stay. They are not private, everyone is responsible for preparing it, wood is available at the entrance to the site. Guest access Private parking is a 450 m walk from the chalets. A location map with photos and GPS coordinates will be emailed to you as soon as your booking is confirmed. Instead, plan backpacks rather than suitcases, as it is easier to carry, you are 1700 m from the mountains. A bus stop is a 500 m walk from the chalets, access is easy. Since the beginning of the rental of our mayen everything has gone well apart from one rental so here are some small details. - Please empty the garbage and place it in the Molok in the center of the village of La Forclaz. - Please do the same with recyclable packaging: glass, paper, cardboard, aluminum and PET: bins are available at the exit of the village of La Forclaz - Please wash the dishes carefully and store them in the kitchen before you leave - Please put away books, games, etc. - If the floors are really full of kitchen waste, crumbs, please sweep and pick up so as to return the chalet to a respectful state :) There is no need to strip the beds, sheets,...
