The space This traditional home opens onto a spacious veranda/patio overlooking the endless blue of the Aegean Sea. Here, morning coffee meets sea breeze and sunsets paint the sky. The veranda is fully covered by a pergola where you can relax on our large patio set with several chairs! Inside, a bright and open living room welcomes guests with ample space to unwind, a ceiling fan to keep the air cool, and a television for cozy evenings after a day in the sun. The kitchen is large, fully-equipped, and filled with natural light. It offers stunning sea views while you cook. It includes a dining table to gather over local wine and homemade dishes. The large master bedroom offers a double bed with a walk-in closet. The second room includes a double bed and generous storage. The third bedroom features two single beds, ideal for families or groups of friends. All rooms enjoy a large window overlooking nature and have their own A/C for a comfortable sleep. Finally, the bathroom blends simplicity and comfort. It has a shower, sink, toilet, and washing machine for extended stays. Guest access Guests enjoy full access to the entire villa and its generous veranda — and above all, the freedom to wander through the natural landscape that unfolds along its right side, an open and authentic space of quiet beauty. There, the scenery reveals itself effortlessly: sun-warmed aromatic herbs releasing their fragrance into the air, subtle traces of wildlife moving gently through the land, and views stretching endlessly toward the horizon. It is a place for unhurried exploration, small discoveries, and moments of deep connection with the earth and its rhythm. Other things to note Walking: This traditional home is located in a pedestrian-only neighbourhood, accessible through a paved footpath just a 5-minute walk from the main road. It’s ideal for guests who enjoy walking and wish to experience the authentic rhythm of Ikarian village life. Parking: This retreat dates back to a time before cars were common, so there is no private parking directly beside the home. However, public parking is available a few minutes’ walk away around the village. ATVs and motorcycles can be conveniently parked within the neighbourhood paths. Warm Water & Electricity: Our village is one of the island’s most historic—and was among the last to be connected to modern utilities. Today, it maintains a limited connection to advanced technologies, which is part of its timeless charm. To enjoy hot water, please switch on the thermostat about 15 minutes before showering to allow it to heat and turn off before using water. Occasionally, the village may experience brief power interruptions (2–3 times per year), typically lasting less than an hour. We strive to ensure our guests are always prepared and comfortable should this occur. Natural Life: This is a secluded and natural environment, surrounded by the island’s ancient landscape. You may occasionally see harmless small animals or reptiles, which are a natural part of Ikarian village life. Please remain aware and respectful of these local inhabitants. Heat: Between 12–4 PM on sunny days, the villa can become warm even with air conditioning. This is an ideal time to explore the beaches, or enjoy a coffee or meal at the local restaurants. Medical Services: The island’s main hospital is approximately 45 minutes away, with ambulance services available on call for any emergencies. Registration Details 00003131991
