Weymouth Shack
Description
Enjoy this classic Tassie shack (that's Tasmanian for "beach house" or "holiday house") with one of the best elevated views in Weymouth. This shack is a relaxing place to unwind, with stunning views of Pipers River & Bass Strait. While the shack holds onto its original, laid-back charm, we've focused on what matters for a comfortable stay. It's an authentic, private retreat for up to five guests: a convenient coastal base to explore the local beaches, the Tamar Valley and North Eastern Tasmania. The space Our shack is set up to be a comfortable, practical, and relaxing home base for your holiday. We've kept the authentic, laid-back feel of the place while ensuring you have everything you need. LIVING AREA: The heart of the shack is the main living space, with large windows that frame the incredible, ever-changing view of the township and sea. It’s a cozy space with comfortable furniture, a television with Google Chromecast, and a collection of books and games for quiet evenings. KITCHEN & DINING: The kitchen is simple, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need to prepare meals at home. You'll find quality pots and pans, plenty of utensils, and a Nespresso machine for your morning brew. The dining table sits in the open-plan area, allowing you to enjoy the view while you dine. There's no dishwasher at the property. But with a panoramic ocean view from the kitchen sink, you might just find yourself racing to grab the dish brush first. #ViewFromTheSink. BEDROOMS & BATHROOM: The house comfortably sleeps up to five guests across three bedrooms - two with a double bed and the third with two singles. The bathroom is compact and functional, with a second toilet downstairs. OUTDOOR SPACES: The Upper Deck: This is the perfect spot for a morning coffee, an evening drink, or simply to sit and watch the world (and the beautiful local birds) go by. WORK & CONNECTIVITY: For those needing to stay connected, we have fast and reliable NBN Fixed Wireless Wi-Fi that covers the entire house. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and property with the exception of the locked spaces (store room, under house and the garage). Other things to note IMPORTANT: As part of the Weymouth experience, there are no supermarkets nearby. Before you begin your trip to Weymouth, be sure to stop by a supermarket to stock up on food. Once in Weymouth, the closest supermarkets are Georgetown (approx. 30-minute drive one-way) and Bridport (approx. 35-minute drive one-way). Basic supplies (milk, flour, bread and general store supplies) and fast food are available at the Pipers River General Store (approx. 10-minute drive one-way). Please note, there is no dishwasher.
