Peace and quiet in the eastern grove! In the forest just south of Mjölby in Östergötland, strategically in the middle of Southern Sweden, there are three cozy cabins with different characters available for rent for shorter or longer periods of time. Here you can relax and read a good book, play board games or Kubb with the family, maybe grill, take a walk in the woods to look for mushrooms, go on swimming trips in large and small lakes or go on day trips to Kolmården and Astrid Lindgren's world. Welcome! The space In the small cottage village with history dating back to the 1600s, there are three different cottages with different characters and possibilities for those who want to rent accommodation with us for shorter or longer periods, ranging from a few nights to potentially year-round. Bed linens are included. It's a simple standard that applies across the board, for better or worse. There is no toilet, but a modern dry toilet (installed in 2026). If you want luxury, this is not the place for you, but we offer so much more! There is cold and hot water plus a drain in the kitchen in one of the cottages, Lyan. The bedroom in the same cottage has been upgraded with a new, 120 cm wide bed. Dogs and cats are welcome in this cottage. Otherwise, there is most of what you need in such a quiet and comfortable place in the middle of the forest. Roof over your head, electricity and heating, Wi-Fi, radio, board games, video games, a cozy patio, sleeping places, shower in the sunroom (with a little limited hot water), beautiful nature and relaxation. If you need to charge an electric car during the stay, we'll figure it out too. Guest access Depending on how many of you there are and what your wishes are, one or more cottages will be used for the stay. You have access to the cottages for yourselves, plus the garden and amenities. We live nearby (without seeing each other) and can help with things if needs arise. There is space for parking two cars at the cabins. If more space is needed, we can also handle that. Other things to note We have animals on the farm. Mainly in the form of Northern Swedish draft horses, but also a (very nice) dog and a couple of cats that live here. The location is very quiet, with the occasional rare neighbor passing by in a car or on foot.
