City center with private parking

Welcome to our home in the middle of the up-and-coming, lovingly renovated city center of Hohenems. The apartment is on the 2nd floor of the 2-family house overlooking the Schlossberg. Although in the middle of the city, there is a quiet garden and free parking (otherwise subject to a fee everywhere!) on the private property. Shops and restaurants can be found right in front of the door. Very good highway connection for excursions throughout Vorarlberg, CH and D. The space Our house was built around 1760 (monument protection), is in the middle of Marktstraße and directly behind it rises the Schlossberg. Due to the new road tour and the 20s zone in the market street, it is extremely quiet and the garden is an oasis of peace after a nice day trip. Free parking (otherwise subject to fees in Hohenems!) is available on the private and fenced property for our guests. In the morning they are woken up by the sun and even in the evening the apartment is still flooded with light. Our house is a little slanted (like so many in this street), has experienced a lot over the years and the proximity to Hohenems Palace, the castle square and the ruin Alt-Ems makes history tangible. For a few years, wonderful, privately run shops have settled here and right in front of the door you will find an organic shop, flowers, gifts, jewelry, clothing and of course restaurants. You can have breakfast in the health food store, in a newly opened café next door, in the French bakery and on the Schlossplatz. The Literaturhaus Vorarlberg has also settled less than 100 m from us and beckons enthusiastic visitors from near and far with a great program to the beautifully renovated Villa Rosenthal. For the apartment, please note the following: As you can see from the floor plan, there is NO door between the middle bedroom and the bedroom with the double bed, but a wide passage for daylight and fresh air. The middle room has no window, but it is still ideal for a child traveling with you. A curtain between these rooms ensures privacy. The newly renovated bathroom was originally located in the staircase, but has now been connected to the double room. It can be accessed through this room, but also via the staircase (which is convenient if, for example, two couples traveling together). We were very eager to preserve the old substance in the renovation of this apartment. The doors are old, but we find beautiful. There are only wooden floors (except in the bathroom) throughout the apartment. Linen curtains and cotton textiles were important to us to make our guests feel comfortable. Blackout curtains and shutters ensure an undisturbed sleep. The kitchen is well equipped so that you can cook with pleasure even on vacation when needed and the large dining table with the cozy reading corner invites you not only to eat, but also to board games or simply beautiful, social evenings. We can't wait to see you soon! Guest access There are 2 apartments in the house. The apartment on the 1st floor is inhabited by us, the guest apartment is on the 2nd floor. Of course, the guest apartment has its own lockable apartment door. Other things to note The guest tax, which must be paid to the city of Hohenems, is paid directly by us to the city. So there are no additional payments for you.
