Rooms available (shared accommodation)

A private upstairs area with 2 bedrooms (sleeps 10) is available within the main house. You will have to share the ground floor (shower room, living/dining room and kitchen) with your hosts. As we live in the house, it is fully equipped. Need anything? Please feel free to ask. The space House located in Bernaville, 20 minutes from Doullens/Flixecourt/Auxi-le-Château, 30 minutes from Abbeville, 45 minutes from Amiens, 50 minutes from Le Crotoy/Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme, and 1 hour from Arras/Fort-Mahon-Plage/Quend-Plage/Merlimont/Berck, and 1 hour 10 minutes from Le Tréport/Le Touquet. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms with a landing that can accommodate 10 people (4 double beds, 1 sofa bed, 1 crib), a toilet, 1 TV, 2 video projectors and board games. On the ground floor: shared with your hosts, the bathroom, a second toilet, living/dining room and kitchen with island that you can of course use (space will be made in the fridge for you). For your information, a dog lives with us downstairs. He is rather timid, so you shouldn't have to encounter him. As for parking, there is space to park securely, whether in a car, a van or a truck/flatbed. Our property is fenced and securely closed, so if you come with your furry friend, there is no risk of them getting out. We are down-to-earth people and not experts in the hospitality industry (hence the low prices offered). What motivates us is being able to offer an affordable solution. Here, everything is laid-back, life is good. We are a couple made up of a man from Picardy and a woman from Nord-Pas-de-Calais, and we are very happy to welcome you and respectful of your privacy. One last thing: Since the house is new, we have finished the interior, but the exterior still needs to be landscaped, so there is still work in progress (no noise during your stay; it's just not very attractive aesthetically). Guest access The upstairs will be your private space, except for the landing, where I work from home during the week from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. I'll try to keep a low profile. It's administrative work. The ground floor with the bathroom, living/dining room and kitchen will be shared with us. Of course, we will make sure to leave you in peace. Other things to note Optional: Latest check-out at 11 a.m.: If you need more time or if you go over = €30 extra In the village, there is a nice taco/pizza place if you're feeling peckish. Otherwise, it takes 15-20 minutes to get to Doullens/Auxi-le-Château (option to have your order picked up for an additional €6), 30 minutes to Abbeville, 45 minutes to Amiens, and 1 hour to Arras. Electric vehicle charging stations are available in the center of the village. Just so you know, we live by a national highway. Although the house is far away, it is possible that sensitive ears will sometimes hear motorists. We are also next to the family farm. Normally, there are no worries on that front, but it's better to let you know. Last important thing for allergies: we have a (very nice) long-haired dog who never goes upstairs but shares the downstairs area with us. You shouldn't see him; he is very timid.
