Description

We were one of the first properties in Angus to receive our mandatory Scottish Short Term Lets licence Unique Licence No. AN-01077-F EPC RATING: D Weavers’ Loft is a spacious (113 sq m) two bedroomed property conveniently situated in a quiet side street, a 1 minute walk to a well stocked Co-op supermarket, close to Kirriemuir’s shops, cafes, pubs and takeaways, and half a mile from Kirriemuir Golf Club. It is a 12 minute drive to Forfar, 35 min to Dundee, and 40 minutes to beautiful beaches. The space Weavers’ Loft is conveniently situated in a quiet side street, only a 2 minute walk from Kirriemuir town centre and a 1 minute walk to the local Co-op. On an elevated site, it has amazing views of both the town and hills to the south from the upstairs lounge. The property forms the upper two storeys of an attractive traditional red sandstone building of the type typically found in the town. Entry is on the left of the property, with stairs leading to an inner door. The lower floor comprises shower room and WC, a large, bright master bedroom, and a further double bedroom which contains a trundle bed, with the flexibility to make two single or one kingsize bed. There is a comfortable kitchen diner. You will find lots of kitchen equipment, including oven, hob, microwave, condiments, breakfast cereals and preserves if you wish to self cater rather than use the many takeaways in town. The dining area is large enough to contain a sofa and an easy chair in addition to the dining room table. There are garden views from the Juliet balcony. Up a further staircase you will find the magnificent full length loft lounge, with 2 large Velux windows giving views to the south. You can view both the morning sunrise and the moon and stars at night, from the sofa. Just take care of the coombed ceiling if you are on the tall side. Outside Weavers’ Loft there is a good sized enclosed garden, with a sunny patio and lots of colourful plants in summer. You are welcome to pick seasonal fruit such as rhubarb, strawberries and raspberries . There is a covered area for cycle storage. The flat is furnished for the comfort of visitors, but also for my personal use as a holiday home so is much more homely than a purely functional short term rental space. I have a friendly neighbour downstairs. Guests are requested to be respectful of his property and not cause undue noise. I have traveled a lot myself and have tried to provide lots of extras that you may have occasional need of whilst on holiday. Parking on the driveway is not allowed. There is usually no problem in finding a parking space on the road outside. Guest access Guests have use of the entire flat. Other things to note What is there to do in Kirriemuir? For a small town of 6000, Kirriemuir has lots to see and do. Pretty red sandstone town centre Home town of J. M. Barrie, author of Peter Pan J. M Barrie birthplace museum ( National Trust) Peter Pan statue Around 10 pubs, (none of which are a Wetherspoon), some of which do evening meals A lively rock, folk and traditional music scene.
