A stay in the mountain home along Sognefjorden?

Want to try something new? Live 100 years back in time! How about a nice and unique stay on an old mountain farm, like the shepherds and hunters lived in the old days? Only 2.5 hours from Bergen! The space There are opportunities for fishing in both the sea and rivers and brackish water and mountain water (fishing cards can be arranged in advance). The wildlife is rich and you can, among other things, meet deer, hare, fox, black grouse, eagle, wolverine and more. Guest access The cabin itself is in good condition. There are 4 beds, as well as the possibility of glamping on the floor (2 extra mattresses) or camping outside. In the cabin there are also tables and chairs, wood-fired stove, hobs (gas) and necessary equipment. Outside there is a large nice terrace. Perfect for hot sunny days! There is no running water inside. It is recommended to bring your own water. There may be water in the streams, but these can be dry in the summer. The cabin is without electricity. Outdoor toilet with a view at the parking lot! The sheep grazing on the mountain are not dangerous. Close the gate on the terrace - always. Approx. 50-100 meters walk in terrain from the parking lot. Bring good shoes - the grass can be wet. Bed linen can be rented for NOK 250 per person. At check-out, guests must clean themselves, if cleaning is insufficient, a fee of NOK 1000 will be charged for cleaning staff. Standard: This is an old mountain lodge - not a 6-star hotel :-) - A simple life in the countryside. Other things to note Kaldbakkstølen is located at around 650 meters above sea level. There are 5 beds in the terrain. There are opportunities both to walk the old mountain trail to the mountains, as well as to drive a car. From Kaldbakkstølen, it is a 20-minute walk to mountain lakes where you can swim and fish. There are also several tours around the farm that will take you up to over 1000 m above sea level. On rainy days the terrain is soft. It is possible to rent a boat on Sognefjorden. Beach at Søreide and local shop in Bjordal, 5 min drive from Søreide. Bed linen can be rented for NOK 250 per person. At check-out, guests must clean themselves, if cleaning is insufficient, a fee of NOK 600 will be charged for cleaning staff. Gas and 60 liters of firewood are included in the stay.
