Cozy up in front of a wood burning fire while watching the waves crash at the beach below. Relax in an Adirondack chair on the private deck while taking in views spanning from Cape Lookout to the 3 Arches. A 5-minute walk to Oceanside Beach, the Hideaway is quintessential Oregon get-away with the feel of a cozy surf shack....quasi-rustic with all the right creature comforts and one of the best panoramic ocean views in Oregon. #851-10-1849-STVR The Hideaway is tucked into the hillside, accessed by steps from the road above. The one bed/1 bath unit is the lower level of Oceanside A-frame which is a duplex. The open living area offers incredible ocean views, comfortable furnishings and a wood burning stove - perfect for cozy nights storm watching or relaxing after a day at the beach. The Hideaway has all the creature comforts - a down comforter, bathrobes, good coffee, yoga mat, wifi and a blue tooth speaker to enjoy your own tunes. The kitchen and bathroom were recently remodeled, but there is plenty of nostalgic mid-century / rustic charm. All spaces and private deck for Unit B I am available by Airbnb messenger if you need help during your stay 2 blocks from the A-frame, Oceanside Village features 2 good restaurants & a coffee shop, plus post office and fire station, that's about the extents of sleepy Oceanside and why it makes a great getaway! Nearby Cape Meares, Cape Lookout and Cape Kiwanda state parks offer hiking and nature exploration, or try your hand at crabbing or clam digging in nearby Netarts or Tillamook Bay. For the adventurous set, there is decent surfing, or even a parasailing launch site just up the hill. Access by car is your best bet. From the A-frame, it is less than a 5-minute walk to the beach and village. + No pets (sorry, no exceptions) + The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom, so the space works best for couples or folks who like to be cozy. + We ask our guests in the unit above to step lightly during quiet hours of 10pm-7am, but as a head’s up, you may hear foot fall from above. Earplugs are provided in case you are sensitive to noise :) + Max 1 vehicle per group + Temperatures at the coast rarely rise above the 70's, but on the warm days you'll need to manage the operable windows and doors, fans and window shades to stay comfortable, and let the cool night air in while you sleep. 60's style :) The portholes are operable!
