Manor Farmhouse is a pretty and beautifully presented period thatched house, with expansive rural views and a river frontage, and situated in a peaceful and idyllic location. The space Manor Farmhouse is beautifully presented, and has period features and a light airy feeling throughout. On the ground floor the front door opens to the entrance hall with, on one side the comfortable sitting room which has an open fireplace and a door through to the study. On the other side of the hall is the snug/family room with sofa, armchairs, fireplace, television and bookcases with a large selection of books and games. Also off the hall is the dining room which is open-plan to the kitchen/breakfast room with Aga and island. French doors lead to a garden terrace with lovely views down the valley. There is a laundry/utility room and separate ground floor cloakroom. On the first floor of the house is a galleried landing off which are the main and guest bedroom suites, both with en-suite bathrooms; two further double bedrooms and family shower room. Manor Farmhouse sits at the end of a no through lane in a peaceful, private and idyllic setting looking out over its garden and paddock and out over the valley of the River Frome. The garden extends to almost two acres and runs down to the river edge where there is a shallow shelf, often used for swimming by the owner. In front of the house is a gravelled parking area, below which is a further parking area and a games room situated in an outbuilding. With its peaceful setting, spacious accommodation, and extensive garden, the house is the perfect place for enjoying a family holiday in this beautiful part of rural Dorset. Additional Information: One well behaved dog welcome (small additional charge). A medium sized dog cage is available on request. A high chair and travel cot are available on request. Barbecue available during the summer. Please bring your own charcoal. There are no fishing rights for the river. Please note that internet access is offered at this property for recreational purposes only and is not meant for business use. The speed/service may vary from time to time. Should guests experience difficulties or loss of use, neither the owner nor the Dorset Hideaways will be held responsible. Kitchen/dining/breakfast Kitchen with a four oven oil-fired AGA, twin ovens, electric hob, microwave, American style fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Central island with breakfast bar and stools. The dining table seats up to eight guests. Cloakroom With wash basin and WC. Utility and boot room With sink and worktops, washing machine, tumble dryer and airer. First Floor: Bedroom one With a 6' super-king size bed. En-suite bathroom With bath, wash basin and WC. Bedroom two With a 5' king-size bed. Bedroom three With a 5' king-size bed. Family shower room With shower enclosure, wash basin and WC. Bedroom four With a 5' king-size bed. En-suite bathroom With bath, wash basin and WC. Outside: Separate games room within detached barns. Paved patio terrace with table and chairs for eight guests, sun beds and barbecue. Extensive grass pasture land rolling down to the River Frome. Please note that if you choose to swim in the river, it is at your own risk, and please ensure that children are supervised near the river at all times. Ornamental hedged flower and shrub garden. Wide gravel driveway in front of the house with a second extensive gravel area bordering converted barns below. Extensive parking is available at the property and six cars can easily be accommodated.
