Lopwell Barn is nestled on the picturesque banks of Lopwell Dam where the beautiful River Tavy meets the Tavy Estuary. Here you’ll find plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors for walking, cycling, paddle boarding and more as well as time for some rest and relaxation. Lopwell Barn offers hostel type accommodation consisting of 2 comfortable bedrooms with bunk beds that sleep The space The perfect place to book for a team, family or group getaway! Perfectly situated on the Lopwell Dam, by the banks of the beautiful River Tavy & the edge of Dartmoor. Well equipped Kitchen which includes range cooker, microwave, fridge freezer & toaster Dining area with large table Bedroom 1 with 2 bunks and 2 single beds ( can be connected to form a king ) Bedroom 2 with 3 bunks and 2 single beds ( can be connected to form a king ) NO BEDDING OR PILLOWS ARE PROVIDED - JUST A BOTTOM SHEET ON A MATTRESS. Lounge area with wood burner & comfy seating Washroom with 3 individual showers and toilets Complimentary Wifi Please be aware that the barn has no TV or licence. If you are streaming to a device you must ensure that you hold a current licence. The barn has plenty of outside space for you to enjoy. Back & front garden areas with seating Firepit / outside BBQ Pizza oven Plenty of parking Fishing is allowed below the dam with no licence as it is tidal. Guest access Guest have the whole barn to themselves Other things to note You will need to bring your own bedding, pillows and towels ( just a bottom sheet is provided ) Sleeping bags are a great option. The River Tavy is just a few meters from the front door with no fences in between so children must be supervised. The river is tidal below the dam so no fishing licence is needed. All bedrooms and access to rear garden are up a flight of stairs, all toilets and showers are on the ground floor.
