The space Set on a calm, non-motorized spring-fed lake in rural Nova Scotia, this private lakefront property offers a quiet setting on a “go-slow” private lane with open skies and surrounding nature. The north side overlooks farmland, woodland, and wetlands, while the lakeside features flat grassy areas with shade—ideal for relaxing or enjoying the view. Lake access is easy via stairs or a gentle slope to a pebbled shoreline, known locally as a great swimming spot. The home is also a convenient base for exploring the North Shore and UNESCO Cliffs of Fundy coastline. Masstown Market is just a short drive away, and Halifax, Parrsboro, New Glasgow, and the PEI ferry are all within about an hour. A peaceful place to slow down, unwind, and stay awhile. The lakeside yard, private shoreline, and seasonal fire pit area are also available to enjoy. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living space is bright and comfortable, with large windows that bring in natural light and lake views—ideal for relaxing, meals, and time together. A dedicated lakeview meditation and yoga room offers a quiet space to unwind, stretch, or simply enjoy the view. A clearly marked, locked utility room and storage area in the basement is reserved for owner use. Other things to note Our home is located on a quiet, non-motorized lake in a peaceful rural setting. If you’re looking for calm water, open skies, and a slower pace, you’ll feel right at home here. Rural setting This is a country property surrounded by farmland and nature. Wildlife, seasonal insects, and natural outdoor sounds are part of the experience. The shoreline is made up of smooth pebbles and stones, and water shoes are recommended. There is no permanent dock. During warmer months, guests may enjoy two floating platforms: • 6' × 12' inflatable floating mat • 6' × 8' swim platform with ladder Life jackets are provided. All water use is at guests’ discretion and dependent on weather and lake conditions. Seasonal amenities Kayaks, outdoor games, and winter skating (when ice is confirmed safe) are seasonal and weather-dependent. Water & septic system The home operates on a UV-treated well water system. Tap water is safe to drink. Only toilet paper may be flushed. Lighting The laneway is naturally dark with minimal lighting. The home has motion-sensor lighting and a nearby streetlight, while the lakeside remains darker to preserve the peaceful setting. Respectful use This is a quiet lakeside retreat—no parties or events.
