Thimble Cottage, Underberg

Thimble Cottage is a self-catering family holiday cottage situated 6km outside of Underberg village on the 'Drakensberg Garden's Road' . You get the entire cottage and property all to yourselves. It is suitable for 6 adults and 2 children. Magnificent views of the Drakensberg mountain range and Umzimkulu river. Stunning garden for kids to play in, as well as a dam on the property for swimming or fishing. The night skies are a Wow-factor to the avid star gazer. The space The perfect place to unwind and relax. The entire Thimble cottage, is yours to enjoy as a home away from home. Be creative, laze in the garden, Star-gaze at the night sky or thaw your soul by a flickering fire. For the more adventurous, there are fabulous walks, and bicycle trails following the Umzimkulu river. Tubing down the river on hot days is an amzing experience. Prepare yourself delicious meals in our well-equipped kitchen or enjoy the most gorgeous sunsets on the veranda. Thimble Cottage is comprised of a main cottage and a separate flatlet -'Thimblet' - which is located above the garage area about 2m away from the main cottage. These are let out as one unit and not separately. THE MAIN COTTAGE - Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms: Kitchen Bathroom (bath, and a shower over the bath) Lounge / dining area with a lovely fireplace Main Downstairs Bedroom with a double bed. Upstairs cozy reading nook "the snuggery" Upstairs Bathroom (bath, and a shower over the bath) Upstairs Second bedroom with Twin beds THIMBLET -Sleeps a family of 4 This is a separate flatlet which is one large spacious family room Kitchenette Shower room Bedroom with Queen size bed & a Bunk Bed for kids Guest access The Entire cottage, garden, 10 hectare property and dam is for your use, to appreciate and love as you would your own property. PETS We do not advertise as "pet friendly", however, if you has a very well-behaved pet and wish to bring your furry friend, please inquire separately. FOR CHECK IN: Buyisele (Bubu) will meet you on arrival with the keys. Please kindly advise your approximate arrival time. Please advise if you will be arriving late. i will let you know where to find keys. However we do suggest to please rather arrive before dark. Other things to note There is a information booklet in the living room with a comprehensive list of "Things to do" in the area, as well as "Things about the cottage" you may need to know during your stay.
