The perfect spot before that super early morning flight, or a base to relax after being downtown. Quietly nestled in the woods off the main road with nature & wildlife surrounding the property; rabbits and deer pass by frequently. Plenty of natural light gives the suite a warm, cozy, minimalistic, yet spacious feel. The space Whilky's Warren is a separate entrance 700sq/ft high-ceiling basement suite. ● 1 queen bed ensuite ● heated floor in the bathroom ● kitchenette (see details below) ● spacious living + dining room ● quietly nestled in the woods ● 1 min drive to Airlane Golf Course ● 10 min drive to Airport Terminal ● 10 min drive to Dollar Lake ● 20 min drive to Dartmouth Crossing ● 30 min drive to Halifax ● 45 min drive to ocean beaches Kitchenette is very well equipped:- • Ninja air fryer • Hot plate • Toaster oven • Microwave • Fridge / Freezer (ice inside) • Kettle and French press • Water faucet and sink • Cutting boards • Utensils • Cooking oil • Foil • Tea and coffee (while stock lasts) • Cutlery • Crockery • Glasswear • Paper towel • Washing-up equipment Bathroom:- ~ heated floor ~ hair drier ~ toilet paper ~ towels and facecloths ~ mirror ~ shampoo (while stocks last) Whilky's Warren is a spacious alternative to a hotel room, with nature right outside the window. The upstairs is occupied by the host, who is often away for work, so quiet stays can very much be expected. Find more, like a walkthrough, on IG (whilkyswarren). Guest access Separate walk-in basement suite, with its own entrance through the back door of the house, using an access code. There are some small steps on the exterior slope to the back door. Early check-in and /or late check-out are often available; extra fees may be applied. Although I do have a winter maintenance contract, rapidly changing weather conditions may create slippery surfaces on the rural property. Please use caution when outside. A shovel and salt is available to assist between winter maintenance visits. Other things to note **NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN** Whilky's Warren was not built with small children in mind. There is only one queen sized bed, and no child-locks, high chair, or protections from potential hazards. ⚠️REMOTE LOCATION⚠️ -TRANSPORTATION: Halifax airport suffers from a severe lack of public transport, except for 1 bus per hour going directly downtown (not stopping at Whilky's Warren). Despite Whilky's Warren being just 1 min from the airport fence, Uber does not always operate in this area, as it is considered outside of their zone of operations. If you do not have your own transportation: you will need to use local cabs, and pre-booking is HIGHLY recommended. Fortunately, Whilky's Warren is the closest AirBnB; so while you'd likely need a cab for any of the other AirBnB's nearby, this one should be the shortest cab route/fare. -FOOD: Uber Eats and other delivery companies do not always operate in this area. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to bring your own food, like a take-out or leftovers. The kitchenette is very well equipped for making/reheating most small meals. Drinking water is available; tea and coffee may be available while stocks last. Kitchenette has a kettle, microwave, hot-plate, toaster oven, and ninja air-frier, and more. Refrigerator and freezer is available for food storage. ♿️ ACCESSIBILITY ♿️ There is a considerable step to getting in and out of the shower, which may present an issue for people with mobility issues. A mobile step has been provided for assistance. There are also some shallow steps on the outside of the property, leading down to the entrance. ~SINGLE NIGHT STAYS~ Whilky's Warren caters mainly to airport guests needing single night stays before and after their flights. To avoid schedule congestion, some limits have been placed on the booking system. If you cannot book a single night, check back about a month prior to your intended stay, and you should find single night stays are unlocked closer to your intended stay. ☆Recent changes☆ The lazyboy armchair pictured in the listing has been replaced with a single futon chair instead. The Nintendo 64 in the suite may or may not be compatible with the TV - you are welcome to try to play it; but I may need to get a converter. Registration Details STR2627B0012
