There are two single beds in the loft, making the loft suitable for up to 4 guests. Discover Monnickendam and Waterland or visit Amsterdam, Volendam and Marken. The space Stay@Gouwzee is a spacious open loft of 51 m² in a characteristic building in the middle of the historic center of Monnickendam. The old wooden beams give the space a lot of atmosphere, while the apartment is equipped with every modern comfort. In the sleeping area, there is a comfortable double box spring bed. Here you will also find the double sink with storage space. The spacious bathroom has a rain shower, and the toilet is in a separate room. A ladder leads to the loft with two single beds. This means the loft sleeps up to 4 guests. The loft is part of the open loft and therefore not a separate bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge with freezer compartment, Nespresso machine, kettle, 2-burner induction cooktop, combi microwave and dishwasher. There is room for four people at the dining table. There is also a comfortable living area. The loft has its own, screened roof terrace: a nice place to sit outside in good weather. The heat pump allows the property to be both heated and cooled. From the dining area, you can look towards the historic Speeltoren, and from the loft, you can look out over the Noordeinde. On Saturdays, the local market is held in the street. Restaurants, cafes, the old inner harbor and the historic streets of Monnickendam are right nearby. Monnickendam is a beautiful base for exploring Waterland, with Marken and Volendam in the area, among others. Amsterdam is also easy to combine with a stay in Monnickendam. Would you like to experience Waterland from the water? Our own boat, Black Pearl, is available for rent during the boating season. The sloop can accommodate up to seven people, and no boating license is required. Availability and rental are separate from the accommodation booking. Guest access During your stay, you will have the entire loft and the private roof terrace to yourself. You do not share spaces with other guests. When booked for two guests, we will make the double bed as standard and remove the ladder from the loft so that it is not in the way. Other things to note The two single beds are located on a loft that is only accessible via a ladder. The loft has an open connection with the rest of the loft. Please keep this in mind when booking; parents decide for themselves whether the loft is suitable for their children. The loft is located right in the historic center of Monnickendam. Parking in the historic center is free. From Monday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., a blue zone applies: with a parking disc, you can park here for a maximum of 2 hours. For longer free parking, you can go to 't Bolwerk, outside the blue zone. Smoking is not allowed indoors. Smoking is allowed on the roof terrace. BBQs and open flames are not allowed.
