1/2 House in Selby near Puffing Billy

Discover the serenity and beauty of the Dandenong Ranges. Lounge in front of the open fireplace or step onto the deck and chill on the beautiful teak lounge chairs and savour the surroundings and meet the local wildlife. The place offers an idyllic escape from the demands of everyday life. The space The house is only 5 minutes drive or 30 minutes walk through the forest to Belgrave, where you’ll find plenty of cafés, bars, restaurants, live music, quirky shops, and, of course, the iconic Puffing Billy, or might want to take a train to Melbourne CBD (just 1 hr ride). It is just a short walk/ drive away from numerous wonderful hikes in the Dandenongs (like Sherbrooke Forest) and is a great base to explore the Yarra Valley. Fancy a dip or some kayaking? - Aura Vale lake (Bobs park) is just some 9 mins drive. There are 2 kayaks you would be welcome to use. Still haven't seen a kangaroo? - an easy 15 min drive to the Cardinia reservoir park and there they roam freely. The place is a great spot for a picnic or a walk along the dam wall. NOTE: The house is located in the Dandenong Ranges national park, in a forested area, therefore now and then reception might drop, but rarely. You'll basically be staying in nature, with lots of birds, some wild life. During the wet season be mindful that the paths and steps to the house might be slippery. Guest access It is a 3-level house, each level adjacent to each other. The bottom level is closed off by a door (my residence). You will have the whole top and mid levels to yourselves - 2 rooms upstairs plus a lounge in the middle level which you can use as a working space. - bedroom (queen size bed) - lounge with an open fireplace (incl. a day bed, which extends into double-single for 2 people) - ensuite bathroom - lounge at mid level - cubby house for kids Private entrance, private deck, covered outdoor entertainment area (4 burner + side burner BBQ) and access to garden in front. Bringing your kids with you? - there's a cubby house for them to play inside while you unwind with a glass of your beverage :-).
