Herøysund is a great starting point for further exploration of the area around Hardangerfjorden! The apartment has top internet quality and we can install a desk if a home office is desired. The space Herøysund is a cozy little village that is best known for its delightful nature and great beach. The village has several peaks to offer and is very popular for hikers. Manen, with its 1014 meters, is the highest peak in the village, but if you wish for greater heights, Uskedalen is only a five-minute drive away. Here you can hike Ulvanosa (1248 masl) which is a truly spectacular hike. If you drive past Uskedalen for a little while, you will come to Rosendal, which is widely known for its alpine landscape. Here you will also find a number of trips to choose from, but the most famous is probably the trip to Melderskin. This is Kvinnherad's highest mountain and with its 1426 meters it offers unbeatable views of the Kvinnheradsfjella and the fjord below. If cross-country skiing is the goal, Kvinnheradsfjella has many gems to offer and the season is long! Here you can start the day with a ski tour and end with a refreshing swim in the fjord. Guest access There is ample parking space in the immediate vicinity. As soon as you arrive you are within walking distance to lots of great hikes and beaches, but if you want to go to the store and other services it is easiest to use a car or bike.
