The space **Accommodation information In the municipality of Muxika, between the Oiz and Bizkargi massifs, within the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, is the quiet neighborhood of Ajuria. A charming village where traditional houses or baserris in Basque, stone, wood and red tile blend in perfect harmony with nature. The first time we visited this neighborhood and got to the last house we fell in love instantly. The feeling of peace and freedom conveyed by the environment was overwhelming; an idyllic landscape of lush forests surrounded by massifs where the music of nature sounded and the birds danced to the sound. Integrated into this landscape was a dilapidated wooden and stone building devoured by vegetation. And here our story began... With enthusiasm and excitement, with determination and effort, and with the help of family and friends, we carried out the renovation of the farmhouse: a faithful reconstruction in form and aesthetics to the original, reusing existing materials, such as stone (all the stone is original from the house), improving energy efficiency with renewable energies, until we reached the result you are seeing and feeling. A baserri where the interior rooms flow with the exterior spaces, the doors and windows become natural paintings and the colors of the decoration enhance the natural environment.
