Cabin in serene surroundings near the beach The space This quirky, rustic cabin is located in a private, mature garden in an idyllic valley. Surrounded by trees with a nearby stream, it is a peaceful and quiet retreat: Wake up the sounds of birds and burbling water. During the summer enjoy the quiet surrounds and sunshine on the patio. In winter snuggle up in front of the cosy woodburning stove. It’s a countryside and coastal location within walking distance to a number of beautiful beaches. It’s 25 minutes from Kinsale, 20 minutes from Courtmacsherry, 30 minutes from Clonakilty and 20 minutes to Bandon. It is conveniently located 40 minutes from Cork Airport. The cabin has parking and a private garden with outside seating area. Inside, there is one bedroom (double bed) bathroom with shower and toilet (towels provided). The living area consists of a kitchen with oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and all necessary utensils. Coffee and tea is provided. There is also a comfortable open plan sitting room and dining area and heating is provided by a wood burning stove. There is a second open plan (no door) bedroom with one double bed. Ideally the cabin accommodates 3 people or on request 4 - 2 couples (2 double beds). For an extra person (4 people) in a booking there is an additional charge of €40. The cabin has free wifi. NB: The 600m entrance laneway is unpaved so please drive slowly. There are a selection of excellent restaurants and music venues within easy driving distance of the property. Just five minutes away, The Pink Elephant bar and restaurant offers stunning views of the bay. Ballinspittle is the closest village, 10 minutes away, with a number of shops including a grocery store, bakery, delicatessen and good restaurant (Wild). Monks Lane restaurant, a renowned food and wine destination in Timoleague, is a 15 minute drive and The Lifeboat Inn in Courtmacsherry, a gastropub with waterfront beer garden is 20 minutes away. More information on the area can be found on the explorewestcork website. Guest access Guests have full access to the area surrounding the cabin. The nearby cottage and garden is for private use only. Other things to note There is a friendly cat on the property. We would appreciate if guests would not invite her inside :) The cabin has one private double bedroom. There is also an open plan bedroom space that sleeps 1-2 persons. So 4 people in total can be accommodated. NB: For more than 3 people in a booking (on request) there is an additional charge of €40.
