Peaceful Essex Barn Retreat | Walks & Wood Burner
Peaceful Essex Barn Retreat | Walks & Wood Burner
Description
Escape to the peace of the north Essex countryside in our beautifully converted barn. With vaulted ceilings, a cosy wood burner and light-filled open plan kitchen/dining/living room, it’s the perfect place for couples to unwind. You can enjoy wonderful countryside walks, a visit to the charming local pub ‘The Five Bells’ and a village shop straight from the doorstep. Other local attractions include the walled garden an arboretum at Markshall and all the amenities of Colchester. The space The barn is designed as an ideal space for couples to relax and unwind. There is a wide and welcoming entrance hall which leads to a super king bedroom to the left and a large shower room opposite. There is a large open plan kitchen / living / dining room and on the first floor is a further mezzanine double bedroom (please bear this in mind when booking as it is open to the main barn area on another level as you can see in the photos). We will consider extra guests on an ad hoc basis, but really it is most comfortable for two or four. Please note that the garden is quite rustic and a work in progress! There is a little private garden area with table and chairs, and then the shared garden space with our next door house which you can use when we aren’t around. Guest access The entire barn is available to rent and can be accessed via private entrance to the far right of the property when looking straight at it from the road. Whilst not completely step free, the majority of the accommodation is on the ground floor which works well for those with reduced mobility. Other things to note One of the bedrooms is on the mezzanine level so please note this when booking for young children etc. We always look forward to welcoming our guests to Munns Farm Barn and will always do our very best to make their stay wonderful, but please remember that it is a home not a hotel!
