Other things to note Agape Grove Farm is surrounded by nature — home to over 160 bird species, kangaroos, wallabies, and the occasional echidna wandering by. Being in the heart of the forest means you might also meet some of Australia’s wilder neighbours, such as goannas or snakes, especially in summer. They usually keep their distance, but please keep doors closed and stay mindful outdoors. Access to the property is via several kilometres of a scenic country gravel road, maintained by the council. An SUV is ideal for extra comfort, though not essential. You’re only 40 minutes from Port Macquarie, with its cafés/shopping centres and 18 stunning beaches, 35 minutes from Billabong Zoo, and 25 minutes to the nearest petrol station at Telegraph Point.
