With nearly 12 acres of land, there is plenty of space for peaceful relaxation and for children to run and play without limits. Not a neighbor or the slightest road within half a kilometer of the estate, absolute calm! On site, you will find a wealth of equipment and various games: foosball, ping pong table, area for playing pétanque, board games, Playstation game console, TV area with Netflix, Prime Video and several dozen foreign channels (English, Spanish, German, Portuguese in particular). For very young children, the site can obviously be perfectly secure (private and enclosed garden in front of the house) by closing part of the access to the estate; some areas can only be explored in the presence of a responsible adult. You will of course have private access to the large private salt-treated swimming pool, and you can stroll through several hectares of classified woods traversed by a small stream, meadows, and paths. The garden also features a lovely treehouse for the children. When the weather is right, a reading area in the middle of the forest can even be set up along the stream if you request it. Bike rides will also be part of the experience, and we provide several bikes. After shopping in the shopping center located 5 minutes away by car, you can of course make use of the fully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances, and have your meals on the shaded terrace around a barbecue and a gas plancha. Also 5 minutes from the house, you can go to Lake Espiet, which offers a space equipped for swimming and paddleboarding in particular. We can also arrange a tour of our neighbor Annie's cheese factory for you, as well as tours/tastings in the vineyards located a few minutes from the estate... I can't wait to welcome you and show you around this enchanting and relaxing place, close to all amenities and the beautiful city of Bordeaux, classified by UNESCO. Of course, I also have some surprises in store for you... and two big new features for the 2027 SEASON ------------------------------------------------------------ The entire house will now be air-conditioned with the possibility of adjusting the temperature in each room, and a salt-treated swimming pool will be built directly in the garden in front of the house you will be staying in. Bordeaux-Mérignac and Bergerac airports are less than an hour from La Panneterie de Marie, and we can help you arrange your arrival. Bordeaux's main train station is about a 35-minute drive away, and Libourne or Saint-Émilion stations are just 20 minutes away. The main amenities are a 5-minute drive away (shopping center, bakery, pastry shop, butcher, etc.). Beyond that, you should know that our estate is ideally located in the famous wine-producing region of Entre-Deux-Mers, 20 minutes from Saint-Émilion, 35 minutes from Bordeaux and just over an hour's drive from the wonderful beaches of the Atlantic coast, the Arcachon Basin, the Dune du Pilat and Cap Ferret, where we can help you organize a trip out to sea. The Dordogne and the Lot are just a few dozen minutes from the estate by car, and the famous towns of Sarlat or Rocamadour, or the prehistoric sites of Lascaux and Les Eyzies, are less than a 2-hour drive from La Panneterie de Marie. You can also reach the Basque Coast in just 2 hours and 30 minutes, and more specifically Biarritz, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, or even the Pyrenees. For the early risers and the most adventurous, in just 3 hours, you'll enjoy tapas and experience Spanish life in the legendary city of San Sebastián in the Spanish Basque Country, and in 4 hours, you'll start a crazy day of duty-free shopping in Andorra. In short: a quiet location that is ideal for exploring the southwest of France or for planning day trips by leaving early in the morning from our estate. Other things to note During the summer months, from June to September, we prefer bookings of 7 nights minimum, preferably from Saturday to Saturday. For the rest of the year, the minimum rental period is 4 nights. During the cold winter months (November to March), when we choose to open La Panneterie de Marie, we charge an extra €15/night for heating and the supply of wood for the house's 2 fireplaces. We provide all the linens and have them cleaned by a specialized company; for this reason, we charge an additional service fee of €80 per stay. Also, if you prefer to let us take care of the cleaning at the end of your stay, we will also charge you an additional €150 to pay the cleaning staff. In any event, it will nevertheless be your responsibility to respect the premises and to put the house back in order before your departure. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets. We will of course be delighted to offer you tips for discovering our region.
