Gaze at stars from the bedroom window and decompress in the mountains. Or, set out for a day of cycling, hiking, skiing and exploring all Vermont has to offer. A chance to experience wildlife, such as moose, birds, bears, turkeys and more. Nearby are Killington Mtn, Sugarbush, famous cycling roads, and several of VTs world renowned eateries and breweries. We love to cook so you should find what you need to make a great meal! Outdoor patio - with grill and fire pit. Mud room - for your shoes, coats and gear. Also includes washer and dryer. Guests will have access to the entire home. We are always available by phone or email and we have a property manager who lives nearby who can provide fresh in season vegetables from her garden for $25.00. She also grew up in the area and loves sharing advice on things to do, and is available if you have any questions or emergencies. The house is in a quiet location off route 107 adjacent to Stony Brook and is just 20 minutes to Killington/Pico. Just down our road is the VAST trail network and the Appalachian Trail. Our road is perfect for mountain biking, snowmobiling, ATV's, walking...there is something for everyone! The surrounding area also offers hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, biking, horseback riding, and fishing. You can swim and tube in the White River and there are two golf courses within 15 minutes. We hope you come and enjoy our idyllic haven and make it yours for a week or weekend! We recommend snow-tires or four-wheel drive in the winter. Our home is located 25 miles from the Rutland train and bus station, 30 miles from Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport, and 35 miles from the Lebanon Municipal Airport. This is our ski, bike and hike getaway. There are bountiful options for skiing (lift service and back country) gravel, single track and road biking. At the end of day you might want to clean and tune your gear so the house comes equipped with a tuning bench (in season), bike work stand (in season), garden hose, bucket and sponges so you can keep your gear in nice shape for each days adventure.
