Lake Owen boasts crystal-clear waters and is listed as healthiest of Wisconsin's 15,000 lakes. The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest surrounds most of the lake, limiting shoreline development and offering the finest fishing and recreational entertainment. The space We are nestled deep in the heart of the Northwoods, just 50 minutes south of Lake Superior and 5 minutes from Cable. In our quaint town you can find shopping, delicious coffee, handmade pizza, homemade pies, and other dining experiences including Wisconsin’s traditional Friday night fish fry’s. The Cable Area is also surrounded by miles of public biking, hiking, and ATV trails. Whether you are looking to adventure out or cozy in we are here to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Guest access Suite 3-4 on Lake Owen is a 2-bedroom unit, featuring one room with 1 queen bed, a full bathroom with a shower, a kitchenette with a two-burner stove-top, sink, microwave, coffee pot, toaster and full-size refrigerator. The kitchen comes furnished with plates, bowls, cups, mugs and serving platters. There is also silverware settings for 4 people, BBQ utensils, some cooking utensils, measuring cups, as well as pots and pans. This comfortable room has an armchair, 4-drawer dresser, a small table to eat or read at, and a flat screen TV with several channels of free programming. The adjoining room features 2 double beds and a full bathroom with a shower. The sink and mirror are located just outside the bathroom door to allow one guest to be getting ready for the day while another is using the bathroom. This room also comes with an apartment-sized refrigerator/freezer, a microwave and a flat screen T.V. This room also has a quaint sitting area with 2 chairs and a small table. Outside, guests have a dedicated charcoal grill and picnic table. The property boasts several shared amenities that include a screened in porch, your choice of two firepit areas, and log swings overlooking Lake Owen. There is a fish cleaning building located in the lawn behind the unit that is stocked with knives, freezer paper, markers, cutting boards and counters to clean your fish on. The fish house also has a large fridge-freezer. You can keep your bait in the fridge when you're not fishing and your cleaned filets in the freezer. We have a large, free parking lot conveniently located close to where you will be staying, a separate parking lot dedicated for boat and ATV trailers and ample parking for your ATV as well. A well-lit set of stairs leads you to the crystal clear waters of Lake Owen and a sandy beach, complete with a swim raft, several docks for parking your boat, log swings, log benches around a lake-side fire pit, a deck area with tables, chairs and umbrellas. This will become one of your favorite spots, especially since Lake Owen is typically glass-calm most mornings before 8 A.M. Grab your coffee, your favorite book and head to the lake for an amazing morning. During your stay It is our top priority that you have a rejuvenating, relaxing stay while at our resort. We live on the resort grounds and can be contacted through Airbnb at any time during your stay. Our main resort offices are located across the lawn in the big lodge building and someone is typically always there. Just follow the signs to 'check-in office'.
