The space Off street, short term parking spot in front with o’nite parking for two large vehicles next to garage in a protected space out back accessed by semi private alley. Note the Inviting front porch with seasonal swing & chairs, and the large back yard w/ privacy fence enclosing patio & relaxing gas fire pit. Living room has large "to-floor" windows with great cross ventilation for the Colorado breezes. Large flat screen TV. Enjoy the Gas "Franklin Stove" on raised hearth which heats the cottage well on cold winter nights. There's a cozy reading nook between the L/R and kitchen, complete with books and games.. The B/R with a comfortable queen sized bed, is light and airy with walk-in closet and charging ports built-in to headboard. Bathroom is accessed through the B/R with a wonderfully oversized shower. Storage cubbies and medicine cabinet offer plenty of space for the guests. The eat-in kitchen offers new gas range, full size refrigerator, plenty of cabinet and pantry space with well thought out kitchen supplies, and we offer your first cup of coffee on us daily! On the way out back, pass through the laundry room with full size washer & dryer, bench, boot tray, & coat hooks galore. All for use as you return from a great day of hiking, hunting, skiing, adventure seeking, or shopping. Guest access Guests are welcome to utilize the front porch and back yard (w/ seasonally available fire pit), the living room, bedroom, walk-in closet, bathroom, reading nook (with games and books), the kitchen and laundry room space / laundry facilities and supplied (Gain) laundry detergent. The garage is locked, & not for guest use. As a courtesy to future guests, we have a “no pet” policy so our home is as allergen free as possible. Kindly refrain from accessing locked / secured / noted cabinetry with bins, which obviously is storage for our cleaning and maintenance personnel. In easy reach are quick-mess clean up utensils; mop, vacuum, dust pan & Swiffer. Available for quests. Please refrain from use of the off-limits loft & ladder. The loft is not currently set up for its ultimate usage as a haven for teen and pre-teen guests. Consequently, the bed and sleeper couch are the only sleeping options currently available,,, stay tuned for the soon-to-be-completed loft space becoming available. No parking is allowed on the front lawn! (Our landscape watering system will be damaged). The complex brain of the sprinkler system is in the walk-in closet and is not to be touched or adjusted in any way. The gallonage and timing has been set to comply to Hayden’s strict watering requirements. Temporary “off street” parking is available on the cement pad out front. Overnight parking is to be next to the (gray) garage in the back, accessed by the alley. There are two parking spots, just on the other side of the backyard fence,,, back in or nose in, being cautious of the well marked 2 ft high pipe near the telephone pole. Please take a few moments upon arrival to peruse the welcome book found on the book shelf next to the loft ladder, beneath which books and games are available for your pleasure during your stay. Upon arrival, as a guest you will find a lock box at both the front and rear door. You will be given a 5-digit code that unlocks the box. 1st — slide the lower thumb knob Down (it’s spring loaded so it will immediately return to original position). 2nd — enter the 5 digit code, feeling each button “slightly click” upon being pushed. If you sense you entered a wrong number, re-slide the lower “cancel” thumb knob down, and start from the beginning with the 5-digit code entry. 3rd — after the “five clicks” push the top thumb knob down and angle out the lockbox cover, revealing the house key. Finally, re-enter the code & slide the top knob down again to return the box to its locked status. (This all sounds more complicated than it is). Be certain to return the keys to their lockbox locations upon check out. There is a lost key fee if the keys are not returned to the lockbox at check out. Our kitchen is well supplied with cooking, tools & utensils. It also sports a brand new gas range (7/25). The garbage disposal is quite sensitive and reacts poorly to heavy grease, pits, citrus rinds, meats and gummy garbage. Pls put such items in a sealed plastic bag and dispose of in the trash receptacle outside the back fence, by the overhead garage door. Please keep the counters / sinks / cabinets free of crumbs and food particles which will attract undesirable crawling visitors from the outside. We remain very available for any questions and welcome comments directed to us thru text, phone conversation or email, once a booking has been formalized through the Air BnB platform. Our hope is for your enjoyment; that you enjoy both the Steamboat and Hayden area and our historic, loved cottage in the heart of ranch-town Hayden Colorado !! Other things to note Upon entering the cottage, there will be our "Welcome" book with critical information you need to have knowledge of, which includes but is not limited to contact information, WiFi ID and Password, Hayden-specific information and Our Platform’s contractural items for all guests. Too, will be a select Who's Who of small businesses in Hayden (currently being worked on), those service individuals that visitors to the area would be sorry to miss on their stay. Many of these businesses are tucked away, though within walking distance of the Cottage, and all on that list, are people who would go out of their way to enhance your stay. Also, we've included on the list very special privately owned small businesses in Steamboat, run by wonderful people who have much to offer. We have gotten to know those on our list and have respect and an appreciation for how they honorably run their service businesses. It would be to your advantage if during your stay you browse these pages of the Welcome book. Safety is both an attitude and a conscious way of life. We have hung a fire blanket on the side of the cabinet near the front kitchen window. We also have fire extinguishers immediately available under the sink / in laundry rm. A carbon monoxide alarm is mounted and two smoke alarms are mounted and are all functional. Please become familiar with the location and use of these important items. Outdoors, we have seasonally provided a propane supplied fire pit for your pleasure. the flame is controlled by the valve on the tank. A lighter to ignite the flame is stored in the drawer immediately left of the range. Also for seasonal use, is a clean gas Bar-B-Q grill w/ grill utensils stored in narrow drawer next to the kitchen stove. It is a guest responsibility to clean the grill & utensils after use.
