The Lakeside Suite is the first of the old spaces we've updated. Whether you've come for the lake and the mountain, a ride on the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad or its goofy little sister, the Railcycle... come stretch out on your deck, enjoy a campfire, and let cares melt away in your cozy lakefront getaway. This location is as central as you can get in sleepy Mineral -- Head across the street for a burger at Headquarters Tavern, or groceries and a fishing license from Mineral's small-but-perfect general store, Mineral Lake Market. We welcome you to experience the difference! 🚽Please note that the Lakeside Suite features an eco-friendly composting toilet rather than a traditional flush toilet. It’s simple to use, and we provide quick instructions in the suite for first-time guests. To help keep the system running properly, we kindly ask that only the provided toilet paper be used. ✅We are happy to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs if we have the capacity, so please just reach out for details! 🏔️We are approximately a 25min drive from the Nisqually entrance into Mt Rainier National Park 🏡The 2-acre property itself is shared -- Lakeside Suite was created by remodeling a set of rooms off the historic workshop. A newer house sits just up the slope. You might be sharing the dock and ample lakefront area with those guests. 👬You may also occasionally see a few friendly neighbors on the dock--they helped build the dock, and now they stow their boat on one side of it in the summer, leaving ample room for you to enjoy your morning coffee or launch small craft. As an FYI, the owners are working to manifest their dream here on this property, a dream that includes renovating the workshop and bathhouse (this whole property used to be part of a lumber mill!) The owner might be around sometimes, working in the gardens or on an unoccupied building - but Lakeside Suite is your own and they'll be careful not to disturb. 🦆The ducks on the property are beloved pets of the Mill House owners and live in their lakeside gazebo, fondly called “Duckingham Palace.” We kindly ask guests to be respectful of our ducks - do not chase or intentionally throw objects at or near them. 💛 🦌The local deer population frequently walk through the front and back yards of the home. While enjoying the magic of their presence, we ask that you please maintain a respectful distance from them and thank you for your cooperation in keeping the wildlife safe and wild.
