Kitchen, dining, living, 4 bedrooms, sitting area, appliances (washer/dryer included). All for your use and convenience. The only exception being the owners closet. Although we frequently travel, I'm often available to answer questions or make recommendations to make your stay more comfortable & your time in Vermont more enjoyable. Most of our guests prefer to do their own thing and enjoy our quiet country setting on their own so we're happy to give you your space to soak up the serenity Stowe has to offer! The Henderson house is tucked away at the end of a 300 yard driveway. Many locals are entirely unaware it exists! However, the location is incredibly convenient: with a quick mart less than a minute away, and a grocery store less than two minutes away, we trust you'll find the balance of convenience and seclusion ideal! Plenty of space to hike the 20 acre property & explore the surrounding woods, but still quite connected to modern conveniences and amenities. We've granted the VAST snowmobile trail daylight access around our property, making it a groomed delight in the winter. There's plenty of parking on site. If you're headed to the slopes & would prefer not to drive, the Mountain Road Shuttle's #1 stop is just at the bottom of the hill with winter-season shuttle rides available many times each day. The Henderson house is conveniently located just over a mile from Route 100 (the main hwy into Stowe from I-89). Snowflake Taxi and Blazer Taxi are available 24/7 if you need a cab. Uber occasionally has drivers in the area, but less reliable than larger cities. Winter in Stowe can be snowy & cold. Be sure to plan accordingly with 4WD and/or snow tires on your vehicle. The roads are well maintained & frequently plowed, but occasionally it snows faster than the plows can remove it. Late night arrivals may experience snow packed roads that can become impassible until morning (when the plow trucks begin operating again). Check the weather forecast & plan your transportation accordingly. For emergency towing or transport needs, use the reference sheet in the house for quick resources if you're in a jam; might be a good idea to take a picture of it with your phone upon arrival.
