Other things to note Timberon is located in a forested valley, known as Sacramento Canyon, within the Sacramento Mountains at the southern edge of the Lincoln National Forest. * There is no gas station in Timberon, closest gas station is in Cloudcroft. * There is no Cell Service, but you can receive calls and texts over a WI-FI Connection. * All-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive or snow chains may be needed during times of snow. * Timberon has a nine-hole golf course, a pool, 2 fishing ponds, a church, an airstrip and a volunteer fire department.
