The space Set off the main road running into the village, this three-storey cottage has an enviable home-from-home feel, blending contemporary furnishings with exposed beams, low doorways and oak flooring. There is plenty of room for everyone in the lounge for film nights, while the open-plan kitchen/diner has everything foodies and their disciples need to create and enjoy memorable feasts created using locally-sourced ingredients. The family bathroom is an inviting sanctuary and stands close to an en-suite double bedroom, a second double bedroom and a separate bunk bedroom. A set of stairs on the first floor leads to an attic bedroom containing three single beds. The cottage’s attractive south-west facing garden is perfect for entertaining, and you can keep an eye out for friendly farmyard animals in the paddock beyond. Wrentham’s pubs welcome families and four-pawed customers, and dogs are free to roam the unspoilt beach at Covehithe (3 miles). The pretty town of Southwold (4.5 miles) is home to a sand and shingle beach and Victorian pier, and is a fantastic launch pad for walks to neighbouring coastal communities like Walberswick (5.5 miles).
