This is a place to properly arrive and feel at home. The space The space At the top of beautiful Helford Creek lies the picturesque village of Gweek. My home offers an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, flooded with light from the floor-to-ceiling French doors. Here, the enthusiastic cook can indulge culinary passion, taking advantage of the well-equipped kitchen, equipped with a range cooker, with gas hob and electric ovens, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The long elm dining table is ready and waiting for hosting delicious feasts and family dinners – or perhaps dine al fresco on the patio during those long summer evenings. Generous sofas to relax on upstairs. Whilst all rooms have individually controlled underfloor heating, fuelled by a modern air-source heat pump, a wood burner sets the stage for cooler evenings in, while adjustable mood lighting enhances the atmosphere. Beyond the kitchen/living area, on the ground floor, is a open studio space with a bathroom/shower. The first downstairs bedroom -a generously sized room with a king size bed, is a light filled comfortable space with linen cupboard. There is a further bedroom on the ground floor, with a double bed (can be made into twin on request) which enjoys delightful views into the secluded garden. A family bathroom can also be found here, with a bath/ shower setup. Dotted throughout the house you’ll find contemporary artwork on the walls, with an eclectic mixture of furniture and fittings. The open, wood and glass staircase leads from the spacious hallway to the upper floor. Upstairs Upstairs, you’ll find open high ceilings throughout, a spacious light filled living room with amazing views, generous sofas, large TV, wood burner, books and games. Adjacent is a wonderful master bedroom with a super king bed and an en suite bathroom and walk in shower. There is a further double bedroom with open high ceilings, a light filled sleeping area and a separate toilet. Outside Terre Ferme enjoys a secluded tiered garden, mostly laid to lawn, as well as a gravelled patio area- just perfect for a barbecue and dining alfresco. This spacious Gweek holiday home is ideal for exploring the beautiful surrounding area -a landscape of sheltered and wooded ancient pathways meandering down to secret creeks. Between Helston and Falmouth, Gweek village itself houses the famous Cornish Seal Sanctuary and amazing Gweek Classic Boatyard. The fabulous Gweek Village Stores provides delicious local deli provisions/foods/drinks/gifts, while the popular Black Swan pub and Sula brunch house cafe, provide local food and entertainment, with Wednesday fish and chips on the green always a popular choice! Superb Helford sailing waters, wooded valleys and creeks, impossibly charming fishing villages, stunning National Trust cliff-tops and gardens, pristine beaches and sweeping heathland are all to be found within a fifteen minute drive. Situated near the vibrant maritime port of Falmouth, you'll find a lively town brimming with festivals, four unique beaches to explore, a fantastic array of restaurants, with menus reflecting the coastal location and local produce. Positioned perfectly for exploring the treasures of Helford , the Roseland, Helford Passage, and The Lizard Peninsula, there's no shortage of activities in the area. You can visit nearby glorious sub-tropical gardens like Trebah and Glendurgan (both 6 miles), explore by boat the enchanting creeks of the Helford and River Fal, or head a little further for Coverack, St Ives, Penzance or Newquay. After waking up to the delightful sound of bird song, enjoy and a day filled with coast or creekside adventures, then retire to the modern comforts of Terre Ferme, the blissful atmosphere of this spacious Gweek holiday home will have you wanting to return time and time again.
