The Nest

The Nichoir is a wooden hut hidden in the heart of the Vent des Forêts contemporary art center, in the Lorraine forest. It allows you to live a simple and exceptional experience as close as possible to nature and animals. The space The Nichoir is an atypical refuge for travelers looking for the essentials. Located close to a stream, its hanging terrace and flexible inclined plane allow you to rest, dream, observe birds, and discover a hundred works of art installed along the trails in the forest. It is a work created as part of an artistic public commission by the designer Matali Crasset for Vent des Forêts. The proposed rate includes membership in the Vent des Forêts association. In Le Nichoir, the walker will find: - sleeping arrangements for 4 people, consisting of tatami mats, self-inflating mattresses, pillows and wool blankets. - a wood-burning oven and its accessories. - kindling to fuel the oven. - 5 liters of bottled drinking water and a 20-liter water can outside - 2 LED lanterns - dishes and cutlery. - a maintenance kit. - a dry toilet outside. A meal basket to freely compose your breakfast menu and/or dinner with local farm products is offered to visitors (extra option).
