Maramures villages are distinguished by their unique wooden churches with tall spires and shingled roofs, mythological richness, impressive landscapes and very ancient customs. From my place you have only 3 km to Barsana Monastery(It is among the highest wooden buildings in Europe), 13 km to swim in Ocna Sugatag therapeutic saltwater spa, 20 km to Sighetu Marmatiei where you can learn about Romania's 45 years under communism at the Victims of Communism Memorial Museum , 39 km to Sapanta, Cimiturul Vesel (happy cemetery) , and 42 km to Viseu de Sus, where you can enjoy a trip with Mocanita(Steam Train) and visit Natural Montanian Rezervation Retezatu.
