Description

Vanderkloof is a remote and relaxing holiday destination or stopover en route to your final destination. It is two hour drive from Bloem or a mere six hour drive from Joburg. It’s on South Africa’s second largest dam sporting some of the best fly fishing in the country. This self-catering holiday home offering exclusivity and privacy has a large patio with built in braai and fire pit with the view of the dam, which is a great way to unwind especially in the late afternoon as the sun goes down. The space The house is situated on a 1000 sqm property and has a main house that includes three bedrooms with two single extra length beds in each. It has a newly added en-suite bathroom as well as a shower and separate toilet, an open plan lounge and kitchen that includes a stove, microwave, large fridge/ freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The lounge has a sound bar and large screen television with the basic DSTV package as well as an air conditioner. The patio is large and covered with a built in braai plus dining table and six chairs, ideal for entertaining or just unwinding. The garden has a private fire pit with benches that have a dam view. A newly built splash pool which can comfortable seat 6 people is raised above the ground to provide comfort and a dam view. There is also an outdoor shower around the back for those wanting to shower beneath the stars. Guest access The house is usually let out per family. The property is secured with a fence and sliding gate and where pets are also welcome (please just advise prior to arrival). There is enough space to park two cars and/or a boat. Other things to note Rolfontein Nature Reserve is a three minute drive from the house and so is the launch site for those with boats. There are two restaurants in town (Die Ribbok & Op Die Dek), a post office, three grocery stores, a chemist and hardware. Money is not always available at the ATM in town but some of the stores are able to assist if cash is needed.
