village house with terrace + enclosed garden

Welcome! Visit the region by setting down your suitcases in a green setting nestled in the hollow of the pretty Côtes de Meuse. Our 90 m2 house will welcome you as warmly as possible, it is located in a quiet alley and has a sheltered terrace overlooking a closed garden. The kitchen is open to the living room with new sofa bed (160); the bedroom includes a double bed (160) and a sofa bed (140); the toilet and shower are separate. The space Welcome to my childhood home :) This house dates from the reconstruction, after the whole village of Herbeuville was destroyed by the bombings of the war. Here, almost nothing is "antique"; what you will find that is "vintage" is authentic and belonged to the owners, Hélène and Arsène. Both born in 1905, they were deported, lived through the occupation as well as the liberation by the Americans for whom Arsène then worked (the various objects of the American army testify to this). At the back of the house, what is now a tool shed was originally a temporary wooden house, the first houses to be built before the "solid" houses. Others are visible in the village, you may find them ;) So it's a house full of history, and memories for me. I hope you feel good about it and take care of it! The house has been recently renovated but some minor renovations are still in progress; it is practically on one level, there are only 2 steps to access the entrance and 1 to go to the bathroom. The terrace is lovely in any season! BETWEEN NOVEMBER AND MARCH, BOOKINGS ARE FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 NIGHTS Guest access The house has a barn, a cellar and a workshop where we ask you not to go; there is also a floor with a bedroom and a large attic, it is possible to sleep there if there are many of you but the comfort will be different (everything is clean but not furnished) (contact me if you want to discuss it) Other things to note The house is very quiet but if you come in winter and sleep in the living room, the small purr of the boiler will be audible. It's very light but I'm saying it in case some people are sensitive :)
