In an attachment to the house, there was a small Arribana "Casa da Burra" that served to store animals and provide agricultural support, which is currently integrated into the house, having been transformed into a living room (the name of the house comes from there). It is located in a small typical Azorean village, in São Pedro, Northeast, São Miguel Açores, close to the Serra da Tronqueira and Pico da Vara. Far from the hustle and bustle of the major centers, the atmosphere of peace and tranquility invites rest, where the relationship between humanized landscape and nature still presents a valuable balance. It is the perfect choice, for those looking for serenity and nature, all combined in one place, with stunning views over the neighboring parish of Santo António, the sea and the green of the mountains. Enjoy a few days of rest or a comforting vacation, listening to the sounds of nature and having the pleasure of waking up to the gentle and sweet chirping of the birds. You will be able to hike along the pedestrian trails, take in the viewpoints, contemplate the beauty of the sunrise, enjoy the forest parks ( with their botanical richness). You can climb Pico da Vara with its 1105 meters altitude, being the highest point in São Miguel. Of the existing avifauna species, the Priôlo stands out, a rare bird, endemic to the Azores, at risk of extinction, whose last refuge is confined to the Laurissilva forest here.
